What a lovely spot to enjoy beautiful hiking and get away for a weekend. This is my second time staying here and the employees have always been so wonderful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, we actually spend most of our evenings at the hotel because we visit with our dog so dining out on cold wet evening is difficult. I like the privacy of the condo style. It's not trendy but it's not a boring corporate hotel either. The rooms I've stayed in have really beautiful hardwood floors and a cozy fireplace. They allow dogs in certain rooms and have a nice little care package for the

My husband and I drove from Boise to Portland to help my friend move. We booked a villa here as our plan was to stay in hood river on our way back home. Well, we picked the worst possible time because there is a huge snow storm. We didn't make it to Portland till 6pm and were worried about safely making it to the villas. We called to see if they could refund us even though it was late. They were SO accommodating and he agreed to refund us and said "I'm glad you're staying safe!" I'm blown away at the customer service. We will DEFINITELY be booking another stay here

My partner and I stayed in the Carriage House, for the weekend, and it was the perfect getaway. The space was so cozy and welcoming. We had a full kitchen (stocked with all the necessary utensils), a fireplace (which was perfect since the weather had been cold), and a separate bedroom (great for when your partner wants to watch TV and you're ready to call it a night).

This is our first getaway since being parents and I can't express how amazing the stay was, especially during the pandemic. The room was clean, grounds were quiet, and while our room was the furthest from the views - we

This was a lovely respite during our two week road trip across the country. We stayed here two nights and were so impressed by Columbia Cliff Villas COVID19 safety precautions including contactless check in, thorough room sanitization (our room also included a free bottle) and daily text check ins to see if we needed anything.

Our room was very clean and featured Aveda bath and body products, an impressive new bathroom and a coffee maker (with tea options). During our stay, we enjoyed time spent on the Adirondack chairs in the shade overlooking the Columbia River on the property. Note that this

We stayed here a few weeks ago. Great bed, easy access, stayed in the wing that doesn't have a view and felt like it was over priced, and I stay at a hotel at least 3 times a week

What an amazing spot! So relaxing and comfortable! I can not recommend this place enough! Although not fully functional due to covid. They still made our stay wonderful and met every need of ours! Bo was very professional and so helpful. We can't wait to come back!

I don't understand how this place has 3.5 stars. The view was gorgeous, the fireplace lovely, and the shower to die for. We were warmly greeted and shown to parking and our room. We slept so well, the bed was super comfy. The only thing we could find that we didn't like was the weird Native American art, but to each his own. We will definitely be back!! Thank you for a warm and welcome visit!

Save your time and money. If you like paper thin walls, the sound of traffic this is the place for you. Purchased a King room with a river view through Priceline and received a standard queen room with no view. Hotel had a room king with a view available to correct the situation, but demanded additional $155. Front desk was nice and admitted issue with booking, but manager that was only available by text was worthless. Extremely disappointed with our stay. Will not be back.

Again, save yourself the disappointment and headache and book somewhere else in Hood River.

Good views of the Gorge and we saw a bald eagle. No landlines but you can text the desk for immediate service. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We came here for our honeymoon in February and stayed in a riverfront room. While it was super cold and snowy the view was absolutely STUNNING. Waking up to the snowy mountains and the glistening river was truly priceless. This was the romantic getaway we were looking for.

The room was very clean and updated. There was a keurig in the room which was a nice touch for those mornings we wanted to enjoy a cup of coffee with a view. The building was also very quiet.

We were located just about 1 mile away from downtown Hood River which provided the privacy we were looking for but also conveniently

We came here on a wine tasting weekend and had a partial river view. I think maybe if I stood on the bed, I could see a small sliver of the Columbia over the building across the parking lot. It was not the view we expected but whatever. They have free WiFi and parking so that is a plus. It is very quiet even though it is next to the freeway. The A/C works well, the beds are comfortable and rooms are very clean. If you are tasting in the Columbia Valley, give this place a try.

I stayed at the Columbia Cliff Villas in September 2018, and while it was a fine, clean, hospitable stay, it was a letdown compared to my expectations for the marketing and price.

Before you book here, just understand that unless you explicitly pay for a room with a view, you are not getting a view, and most of the rooms are no different than a motel room somewhere next to a highway -- although the rooms themselves are nice.

Based on the price and the name of the place, you would expect every room at $180 to have a view, but no such luck.

Book with caution and awareness.

Nice spot right on the Columbia River Gorge for a weekend trip. Close to all Hood River has to offer without being in the middle of their shopping district. Close drive to local wineries and restaurants. Great central place to stay and explore the area. Nice rooms, comfy beds, etc. However, if you truly want a room overlooking the Gorge you need to get FULL view. Partial river view is a stretch to call it a view and looks across the parking lot. Also can be pretty pricy, but par for the course on a summer weekend in this area. More like 3.5 stars, but I would stay again.

I fear YELPING and sharing a much sacred Oregon getaway destination. But share I must. Get a river or partial river view - and you will NOT be disappointed! Dine or have a drink at the famous Columbia gorge hotel that sits aside - and or the White Buffalo Restaurant.

Biggest tip: don't date stay just one night. Make it two - any time of the year. You won't regret it!

UPDATE: regarding the other negative comments posted below....I can't IMAGINE the Columbia Cliffs Villas staff "gossiping" about guests behind the "desk". In fact I'm pretty certain those reviewers

If you are looking for rude staff and over priced hotel rooms this is your place!
The front desk staff is more interested in gossiping behind customers backs than helping people quickly check in or provide friendly service.
I was so offended I left and stayed at the another hotel a few miles east.

My second time staying here because I loved it so much the first time. It's perfectly priced, has a beautiful view, cozy rooms with beautiful hardwood floors and comfy beds. The front desk attendants are the BEST! They text you when you get to your room just giving you the number to text if you need ice, blankets, suggestions on where to eat or whatever! Amazing customer service. Close to everything too!

We got trapped on the highway for 6 hours in 90 degree weather after a train derailed and closed down the other road. While stuck in traffic we agreed to spend he might in Hood River and put off out camping plans. I called hotel after hotel and most laughed when we asked about vacancies for the night. Then we called here and they had one. The customer service was impeccable. We rolled in after midnight and they greeted us by name and offered to help us carry our back packs upstairs. They had double headed showers and bathrobes and their hotel soap smelled like Rosemary Mint.

Super clean, brand new condos right off the side of the freeway (which dissapointingly, could be heard from our bedroom) and basically on the same property as the beautiful and historic Columbia Gorge Hotel.

I'd recommend staying here if you can handle a mostly self service experience, but the nice, new rooms and setting make it worth a return trip. Nice bed and bedroom and in the coach rooms, a really great foam pull out bed offers a pretty fantastic night sleep. Nice fluffy towels, Aveda products, and spa robes. (For me, robes improve any hotel stay.) Small gas fireplace and, if staying
