I brought in a newly acquired used car for a maintenance checkup. The good: Professional, courteous. The Bad: Expensive - in most cases anywhere from 45% to 75% more than similarly rated repair shops. In my case they were also sloppy leaving broken parts in my engine. Added to this my car sounded much worse when I left than when I took it in. This, they said, was due to a cracked intake manifold cover which was not discovered until the 3rd inspection after the work was done. Oh, and by the way, that’s another $1900 to fix. So now after spending almost $1200 at their shop I get to drive around

Dropped my car off over night and the next morning got a call and they explained everything that needed to be done with pricing etc. after they sent me a detailed list of what else they suggest getting done with pricing. Also share pics of your car getting worked on. Might not be the cheapest place out there but you get what you pay for. I will be bringing my car there for as long as it lasts!

Went to Kurth for an oil change because of a flyer I received in the mail. I stayed in their waiting room while my oil was changed and did work. I was really impressed with the politeness of all of the staff, the way they interacted with all of the customers (and it was busy! Walk-ins, drop offs, plus a fully booked schedule) and with one another. I felt my service price was fair, the work was done quickly, and I was not upsold. A very positive first impression of a local small business!!

When it comes to your car and your safety…… Kurth’s don’t play that mess!! Fast friendly service with the best mechanics in the twin cities bar none. They will get you back on the road quickly and safely with a smile on your face and some peanut butter crackers in your tummy. And Kelly in customer service is the best. She’ll make sure to pass on any question or concerns on the rest rest of the shop. Great communication skills. And she always wears the coolest pants!!

We recently moved to the area and found Kurth's Auto Repair online. They are wonderful! Very professional, communicated everything clearly, and were transparent about their services and pricing. One of the employees stayed late on a Friday afternoon to finish our vehicle way earlier than expected! The people I spoke with on the phone were patient and kind. Kurth's Auto shop was very thorough and helped me with my brakes for my Subie. Another shop had told me that I needed both front and rear brakes replaced, but they took a closer look and actually measured how much I had left and told me I only needed to do the rear brakes. They also updated me halfway through the work and let me know I needed to replace my engine air filter as well and noticed a couple of other things to keep my eye on. Finally had a complete brake job done, some transmission work and going back for some miscellaneous service items to keep me on the road. The folks at Kurth’s gave me NO bull, instead did an evaluation of my car and made recommendations based on safety, need to be done soon and general maintenance which helped me make a budget. I had a stalled car yesterday and had it towed to Kurth’s auto repair. They started on it right away and after some digging and eliminating some of the obvious reasons a car would stall, they found the issue and fixed it within one day at minimal cost. When I moved into the New Hope area 5 years ago I needed an auto care place that I could trust. Both my mother and I had our cars repaired at Kurth's.
