Was going to get my breaks done here but when I asked if they use ceramic/ what kind of parts are they going to get the owner got frustrated and started telling me other shops I can go to. I was simply curious on the details and didn't mean to make him upset. I ended up doing the breaks and rotors myself because it didn't seem like he wanted my business. I also needed an axle replaced so I decided to give them another shot. I called and wanted a quote, was told "I'll call you back" but never got a call. Not sure what's going on here? If you don't want my business

Trini has helped me with several car maintenance jobs so far and all have been satisfactory. Very accommodating to your schedule, I greatly appreciate his honesty with the work, and fast service. Trini calls right away with any updates and I also really like that. Prices are reasonable and he has actually saved me money. =)

I went back (due to my location used other mechanics that I was unsatisfied with) and Trini is still a great guy and a great mechanic. Fixed an issue that had been plaguing my car for months, that had not been fixed by two other mechanics, and for a fair price. Had to drive from Aptos to see him but it was worth it. Still takes time to careful explain the problem and educate you. 3 years after my first and only visit HE REMEMBERED ME! How great is that. Very happy with this very genuine guy!

I used RPM based on the positive reviews here. I'm never going back. First, it took many hours longer than was promised. My gas mileage has been terrible since it was worked on, so I'm going to need to find out (from another mechanic) what's going on with that. Then, a few days after the service, my temperature gauge went on. I opened the hood to find there was no coolant. I filled it up, only to have it go on again a few days later. There is a leak. Coincidence? Maybe. But I won't be back, and I don't recommend it.

Trini is the best, most honest mechanic in the Bay Area. He's a great person, and I've trusted him for years. I would highly recommend anyone to go to him first -- especially before going to any dealership. He's been servicing my Volkswagen Jetta's for years, and he's always been very quick, efficient, and thorough in his work. He also goes the extra mile and explains everything in detail, and the reasons for his recommendations.
There has been several times that he's helped me catch the VW dealership in Santa Cruz lying about something that needs to be replaced.

I've been bringing our Volvo V70 to Trini for about a year and a half, and from calling the shop to leaving with your fixed car, We've always been happy. There is a reason that everyone has given RPM Auto 5 stars. It's because it really is a five star place. Trini has been my mechanic for over a decade. He truly is one of the most honest and fair people I have ever met. He always takes time to explain the repairs. He's is "green" in the sense that he won't replace a part that doesn't need replacing and knows how much longer it will last. I am so grateful to Trini. He is the best car Dr. In town!

Trini is an outstanding mechanic and individual. As a non-car person, I am always worried about being taken advantage of by mechanics. I can guarantee that in the ten years I've been taking my 1998 Toyota to Trini, I've had nothing but positive experiences and I've never been taken advantage of.

Great friendly guy. Was really helpful and honest in helping me with my car problems. I've been to four different shops in the neighborhood and this was by far the BEST! Also did repair for a lot less than other shops estimates. After my clutch repair the pedal felt too soft and i took it over to him again and after a few hours he had it ready for me and good to go. GO HERE!

We've been taking our cars to RPM for over 10 years. Trini is a great mechanic who we have full trust and respect. He carefully explains what needs to be fixed and what can wait. Trinny(SP?) is a great mechanic! He is fair and honest, and is a hard worker. I appreciate the time he takes with me discussing my car and every option whenever something has happened. He's been my mechanic for about three years now and knows my car better than I do.
