As people age, they often find themselves in need of care; and the money to pay for it. Our elder law division helps seniors through the complicated task of obtaining and coordinating county, state, and federal benefits to provide and pay for this care. We have successfully obtained these benefits for thousands of seniors, many of whom were told they were over income or over assets to qualify.
We advise clients in the creation and implementation of plans that effectively express the client's personal desires regarding the disposition and protection of assets while providing potential tax advantages and security for family and beneficiaries. Dealing with the grief that comes with the loss of a parent, spouse or other family member takes time.

Michelangelo Mortellaro received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix in 2003. He received his Juris Doctor from Florida International University and graduated with honors in 2006. Mr. Mortellaro's practice areas include: Estate Planning, Probate, Medicaid Asset Protection, and VA Benefits.
The time has come. Your loved one requires care in a skilled nursing, assisted living or memory care facility. Or maybe he or she is running out of Medicare-covered days of rehab. Now you're faced with a list of questions, the most important being: How are we going to pay for this? Many of our clients are told Medicaid assistance is not an option for them because they have too much income, or too many assets.
Medicaid is the single largest health insurance provider in the United States, covering over 65 million American citizens and other qualified individuals in all 50 states, the District of Columbia (Washington, DC), and all U.S. territories. In this landmark legislation, the U.S. federal government partnered with state governments to provide coverage for basic health care.
Military service history may qualify you or a family member to receive a VA pension. As in most federal programs, there are a myriad of eligibility requirements. Denial of applications is common. Consulting a VA Accredited elder law attorney is one way to avoid commonly made mistakes. At the Mortellaro Law, we are dedicated to ensuring elderly veterans in Tampa receive all available benefits.
As Florida estate planning lawyers, we advise clients in the creation and implementation of plans that effectively express the client's personal desires regarding the disposition and protection of assets while providing potential tax advantages and security for family and beneficiaries. We help clients prepare their Last Wills & Testament whether simple or complex.

Michelangelo mortellaro was invaluable in navigating the process of obtaining VA benefits for my mother. Their staff was thorough and attentive to acquiring and processing the mountain of data required by the VA. I know we could’ve never accomplish this on our own. I would highly recommend their firm to anyone who is seeking to file for VA Benefits. They get the job done. 👍

After researching Mr Mortellaro, I called his law firm and made an appointment. My first contact with the law firm was with the Office Coordinator, Anna.
Anna is extremely professional, courteous, and very generous with her time. She is a tremendously valuable asset to the law firm, as she is the first person you come into contact with when you call the law firm, and thusly you get a great impression.
Firstly, Anna put me in touch with a very well versed assistant, Michelle. Michelle had some of my preliminary questions answered directly by Mr Mortellaro, before I even met with him.

I discovered Mortellaro Law by Googling 'best estate planner' and Mortellaro Law stood out as I read the hundreds of well deserved 5-Star Reviews! Michelangelo is such a knowledgeable attorney, is so thorough, and listened well, asking lots of questions during our consultation. And what we loved most.....he has such integrity! Because we'd had all of our estate planning documents prepared several years ago by an attorney that he knows well, he took the time to review all documents and told us we didn't need to change a thing! He covered other important aspects of long-term care and my husband's

Michaelangelo and his entire team at Mortellaro Law were wonderful to work with throughout the entire process of revising our parents advanced directives. The documents themselves were extremely thorough, precise, comprehensive, and clearly written; much better than the documents they'd had done at a different firm. I would highly recommend Michaelangelo and Mortellaro Law as an elder care attorney. He really knows his stuff, and he and his paralegal Susan were a pleasure to work with.

I worked with this firm regarding financial arrangements and Medicaid for my Mother before she passed. I mostly worked with Jeannie Galloway and she was very pleasant to work with and always responded to every question in a timely manner. After never being able to reach an attorney I worked with previously, contacting this firm was a decision I am glad I made. I highly recommend them.

Cheers to peace of mind, sense of security, and true relief. I want to thank Mortellaro Law for the fantastic service and attentiveness. Thank you Michelangelo for taking the time to meet with my wife and I,… along with your staff Susan and Tobey, for the great service—thanks ladies! My wife and I felt in control throughout the whole time. We expressed our concerns, goals, and values, they listened and offered us great advice. After meeting with Michelangelo, we waited patiently for the draft of the legal documents. Once we made the adjustments and approved the final copy, we scheduled

Mortellaro Law is offering FREE services to first responders for living wills. I have procrastinated creating my will for years, as I was always quoted $300 or more by other lawyers. The entire staff was friendly, respectful, and professional, and I was in and out within one hour. I would definitely recommend them, and I'll use them in the future for my future law needs. Thank you for your support!

Folks, Michelangelo is the real deal. I wrote a review a few months ago on behalf of his staff when my father-in-law was in need of Medicaid services, but had not had the pleasure of speaking with the man himself until this morning. What a down-to-earth, caring and honest guy! He and his staff helped us through the maze of Medicaid approval and we were headed down the path for VA approval before my father-in-law unexpectedly passed away. We can't thank Michelangelo and his staff enough for all of their guidance as we navigated through the process. They held our hand every step of the

Words can not express the gratitude I hold for this law firm. Attorney Michaelangelo and his staff, Alina in particular, helped us navigate complex legal issues before and after my Mother's death.
From Advanced Directives, to Estate Creation, I felt like a friend had my back the entire time. It's not what you would expect with dealing with Lawyers. but then again the Lawyers and Staff at Mortellaro & Sinadinos are anything but typical. Talk to them sooner, rather than later. They are good people who care about you...
