Fabius Santos is the founder of Optimal Psychiatry and Wellness. He is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who also served as a Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins. Fabius works specifically with adults and specializes in treating Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, ADD/ADHD, OCD, PTSD and other psychiatric illnesses.

Part of the commitment to quality care is helping you understand your financial responsibility as our patient. Your insurance coverage is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Financial responsibility rests with the patient for deductibles, co-insurance and non-covered services.
As you may imagine, psychiatric problems are difficult to diagnose due to their complexity and infinitely different presentations. Often, an absolute diagnosis is not made even in the first few visits. The first visit, however, is very important in clarifying the path that assessment and treatment will take.
For a fast and easy process we recommend that you obtain your medical records from your doctor and Register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC). If you have NOT registered with the MMCC, we can help you register and obtain your Patient ID Number. For your first visit with us, you will want to bring your Medical History/Records, Pill bottles, Prescriptions, and/or anything that can be used to verify your medical condition.
In order to give patients more access to affordable mental health care, I also offer a Membership plan that costs $125 a month which is billed at the first of each month. This is focused on being able to give affordable long term mental health care for patients. Most people have high deductible insurance plans which you will have to pay out of pocket before your plan will help you pay for the appointments.
