In 2011, Hazel Carlson served as our realtor in purchasing a property in Hernando Florida. This was a somewhat complicated transaction because we made the offer from our permanent home in Rhode Island and relied on Hazel to perform all the necessary arrangements and inspections with only phone and email contact between us until we arrived in Florida a couple of days before the actual closing.
Citrus County is located about 65 miles north of Tampa Bay and is bordered to the west by the Gulf of Mexico and along the north and the east by the Withlacoochee River and the Tsala Apopka lake chain. The county's 683 square miles have a distinct "northern" look due to the gently rolling hills which are common throughout the area.
