Some of the best italian in Denver. Big, yummy portions of both the classics and unique dishes. Fast service. Good drinks. Highly recommend.

I really wanted to love this place, but it was just okay. I had the wild mushroom sacchetti and it was fine. Not great, not bad. Just not particularly flavorful. I suppose the texture was good.

I wouldn't refuse to return, but I also wouldn't suggest Shells & Sauce as a dinner destination, if the choice were up to me.

Service was great. Our waitress was lovely.

For two people, we ordered Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Tomato Bruschetta, Potato Gnocchi, Stuffed Shells Duo, and Tiramisu for takeout. The Brussel sprouts were deliciously crunchy and by far my fav of the bunch! Everything else was okay -- nothing was bad, but nothing was particularly great either. I expected the portions for the mains to be slightly larger given the prices. Really cute spot, I'd give it another try for dine-in, but probably wouldn't order takeout again.

First time here right before attending Blossoms of Light at the botanic gardens. We had reservations at 5:45 and were seated on time. The booth was VERY small for 4 of us. Be prepared to eat with your T Rex arms. It's also very noisy. Waiter was great. Very attentive.

We started with a Pepperoni flatbread and side of meatballs. Meatballs are huge and we each had only 1/2. Table ordered Bolognese, Chicken Parm, Lasagna and Tortellini Ricotta Bake with a Meatball. Bolognese was nice and rich. Lots of veggie bits with great flavor. Chicken Parm was nice and crispy and a solid portion size.

Catered a few pasta from here for a holiday party and they were such a hit! Oscar and the staff were really easy to work with as well. Seafood pasta and goat cheese lasagna were my favorite!

I ADORE this neighborhood Italian spot. I'll parallel park all day any day to enjoy this food! Every trip I make to Denver for the past 5 years, I always make a point to make a reservation and eat here. I'm a pasta lover and a bit of a sauce snob and Shells and Sauce never disappoints!

After seeing all the good reviews we decided to venture out of our comfort zone and try Shells & Sauce. The restaurant was packed and made the right move to make a reservation.
We were sat right away and the waitstaff couldn't have been nicer. Our waitress JoJo had other big parties, but greeted us right away and asked for our drink order. Since none of my party had eaten at Shells & Sauce she went over her favorites and what they're known for.
We started with appetizers of ravioli and I can't recall the other one but it had a lot of cheese and garlic bread. Kinda like

Tonight was my first night here and I loved their happy hour specials but their Shrimp Carbonara is to die for. I never eat my whole plate, but tonight I couldn't help it. This is my new favorite Italian style restaurant.

Their gnocchi is the best I’ve ever had. We all liked it so much we even planned to get takeout to bring to the airport on the way out of town until we realized they’re closed on Sunday’s! Homemade cheesecake is amazing, and pricing is very reasonable for the quality

Service was good, but the food was lacking. Location was nice!

The sauce that came with my dish seemed watery, and flavorless. The stuffing inside of the mushroom pasta I had tasted funny, so I mostly ate the chicken that I ordered with my dinner (it was pretty good but nothing special). The broccoli was also super bland, and overcooked. The place was super busy and seems pretty popular, but it just isn't for me.

I've had Shells and Sauce bookmarked for years and finally made it happen when some friends wanted to meet in the area.

I tried their creamy veal piccata and got a happy hour Malbec. I was a bit thrown off by the piccata sauce, at first, but it grew on me. It seemed a bit acidic. I think it just honestly didn't mix that well with the wine I ordered.

My husband said his stuffed shells duo may be one of the best stuffed shells he's ever had. He enjoyed it so much that he scarfed it down so fast I wasn't even able to sneak a bite!

Well the place is probably your usual Cherry Creek area restaurant, in an older building pretty tight seating. The noise level was pretty high. There were 4 of us and I do not think that all of us could fully hear all of the conversations.
The food was OK but did not really taste "Homemade "

Years ago I went to shells and sauce and it was too busy to get a table. This time I had a reservation for Friday night. I sat on the patio. I was excited to finally have time and the forethought to eat at this restaurant. The waiter provided bread and water. I ordered the mushroom sacchetti and my girlfriend had the stuffed shell duo. The sacchetti was delicious but the good parts stop there. The shrimp was over cooked and so were the shells. The service was slow. The white sangria was too sweet. Shells and sauce is just an overrated Italian restaurant who doesn't even make there own pasta

My wife and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. Never been here before but let me tell you something.... You won't regret it! The service - fantastic. We had a server names Marshall and he was amazing. The food - 10/10 hands down the best Italian food we've had in Denver so far. You'll love this mom and pop shop feel! Eat here people!

Great local Italian restaurant. Small dining room so make a reservation or go early. I missed happy hour but it looked great. They serve mini pasta dishes for happy hour food and have wine and beer specials. I had the Bolognese and it was fantastic. Also recommend the Carbonara and Shrimp Diavolo.
One odd choice. My dad asked for salt and pepper and instead of bringing over a grinder or shaker they brought little packets. Maybe COVIDism?

Wow this placed was PACKED! Has a cute open atmosphere. Hated the bread and balsamic dressing they give If they did a olive oil n a touch of straight balsamic with herbs with the bread would be waaaaay better. Or hey just butter I'll take.
Started with the caprese salad which was just O-K. Didn't take particularly taste like fresh Mozarella but more like those packs you buy at store already sliced in rounds and some beefsteak tomatoes. Next for entree was the Carbonara which was good but a tad bland. We ended with white chocolate bread pudding which was good. Will I try again? Probably

My boyfriend came here on a Friday night for date night. We made reservations online ahead of time. When we arrived, we were seated promptly upstairs. Bread and vinegar based type sauce was placed the table. They bread was so delicious and warm. I felt like I could have just eaten that for my meal. We started our dinner with a bottle of red wine and fried calamari. The calamari was good, it wasn't oily but still crispy. I ordered the stuffed shells duo and my boyfriend got the lasagna. I loved the sweet potato, butternut squash and goat cheese stuff shelled. It had great flavor. I wasn&apos
