Robert S. Wolff, MD, was raised in central California, and went on to graduate from Amherst College in Massachusetts. In 1991, he received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He then completed his ophthalmology training at the University of Minnesota in 1995, during which he was a recipient of the Minnesota Sight and Hearing Association Research Award.
Michael Westafer, MD was raised on the Gulf Coast of Florida and went on attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he completed his undergraduate studies, followed by his medical degree in 2012. He then pursued training in ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia.
During this time, Dr. Westafer won numerous awards, including the Resident Research Award, and the Nussbaum & Goei Award for the ophthalmology resident with the highest OKAP test score.Following completion of the ophthalmology residency, he pursued a glaucoma fellowship with the Cole Eye Institute at the Cleveland Clinic.

Hera Ansari, OD, was born and raised in central New Jersey, where she attended and graduated from Rutgers University Honors College. Afterwards, she traveled westward to Arizona and completed her studies at the Arizona College of Optometry in 2020. While in Arizona, Dr. Ansari was active in community outreach programs that aimed to provide free eye care to underserved populations in the greater Phoenix area.
Sierra Nevada Eye Center offers the latest techniques, including no-stitch, no-needle, no-patch outpatient cataract surgery to maximize visual potential to our patients throughout the Reno areas. And Dr. Wolff is the first physician in Nevada to offer TriMoxi for cataract surgery, allowing most patients to avoid using expensive eye drops for cataract surgery.

Very impressed. I had my records sent from Dr. Kim in AZ where I became accustomed to excellent care. Dr. Westafer was very familiar and had clearly reviewed the records. I had to find a new Doctor because of scheduling issues with my old doctor. Dr Gibbons was on my provider list. They got me in on the day I needed.
The front office staff were super nice even when I was a few mins late, because I got lost. The back office assistant (I didn't catch his name) was the best! He was professional and kind and funny! Dr Gibbons was great. He was kind and efficient! Thanks to all the staff!

Exceptionally professional yet highly personable. Frunt line staff are professional and personable ... not one glitch checking it (great covid / social distancing protocols) Check in was incredibly smooth - keep those covid one stop check in protocol in place... exceptionally quick/efficient. Each individual I came in contact with was caring... I was a bit nervous.... eyes are pretty delicate... Dr Westafer let me know at each step what he would do and what I could expect. Gave me lots of encouragement and feedback about how my part (keeping my eyes open and directed in a particular direction)
