Ridiculous company. Haven't even seen them yet but I called two months ago scheduled an appointment. They called me back a few days later some reason they had to change the appointment. Ok. I agree to an appointment August 6 and I actually got an appointment card in the mail with that date on it. We called them to confirm and they said oh no your appointment is for August 16. Oddly enough that appointment doesn't work for me so I would've never have agreed to it. Children in Customer Service

Dr. Mills is wonderful...knowledgeable and friendly...takes the time to answer questions and reassure. That being said, the rest of the staff from technicians to office, seem very condescending. I realize that many of their patients are seniors (for cataract surgery anyways) but this does not mean they need to be treated like children or disregarded. I have spoken to half a dozen now and get the same impression. I really like to write good reviews but it is important that people remember that just because you are over 60, doesn't mean you should be treated any differently.

Terrible office manager (Shannon Parker) she should be ashamed of herself for the way I was treated by her! The most immature unprofessional office manager I've ever come in contact with. And to add we (were) friends, until she hung up on me when I questioned Dr. Mills diagnosis of blepharitis. And wanted a resolution to the 100$ I spent on a miss diagnosis! She could have at least discussed it with Dr. Mills and perhaps refunded my $ on an unopened prescription package, maybe they could've given the prescription to someone who couldn't afford it.
Dr. Mills was very arrogant and

I was referred to Reno Eye Care for a diabetic eye exam. Good news, no diabetic eye damage, but I learned that I had cataracts and glaucoma. Dr. Mills told me he could treat both with laser surgery...Then came the best news of all. I have been *very* nearsighted all of my life and he said he could restore my eyesight to near normal. My results are amazing! A miraculous gift from Dr. Mills and the Lord! Thanks so much!

The staff is polite and the doctors is great. But they don't have a problem with wasting my time. This is my second appointment and the wait is so ridiculous I won't be coming back. I went and talked to a staff member who told me 1-2 hour wait is standard. When I explained that I only set aside 1.5 hrs for this appointment, they said I would need to call work and tell them I will be late. Nope. I left right then.

This practice is very arrogant and disrespectful of patients' time. It is an assembly line of patients going from waiting area to waiting area. No apologies, no polite "sorry we're running behind", etc. It's acknowledged that that's the way they run the place. Then they have the gall to ask patients to sign a form saying they'll be charged $50 if THEY are late by 15 minutes. I left 45 minutes after my appointment time without being seen.

Waiting seems to be the name of the game at this office. They even have a form to make you aware you could wait as long as three hours for your appointment. Thorough exam, but when I asked for my glasses prescription I was told that would require another appointment and $45. So, had to go back again, wait another hour and a half after the original appointment time, get refracted, and pay my $45. Tried to explain my concerns to the doctor, but just got a bunch more excuses.

I received cataract surgery in both eyes recently and am very pleased with the results. I had double vision with the cataracts which made it difficult to read. Twenty years ago I had laser surgery to correct… poor vision. Because of that Dr. Mills had to do extra work with the lens replacement to adjust the eyes correctly. My left eye for distance has completely healed and vision is clear. My right eye for reading is healing quickly and already not sensitive to light and is pain free. Vision is great and easy for me to read without reading glasses.

So far all the medical professionals I've seen have been polite, professional and personable.
But the timing is insane. This is my second visit. The first took me 2.5 hours...and I'm approaching my first hour right now waiting for the doctor (waiting in the check up room for twenty minutes alone so far....).
