At A Fit Of Perfection Alterations we specialize in bridal & formal wear alterations, design, re-design and gown preservation. We starts with a personal consultation, where we get to meet the bride and to look at her gown. We do alterations to the bridal gown and set up an appointment for any other fittings if needed for the gown.
Once the alterations are completed on your gown, we can press your gown and have it ready for the pick up. Or a delivery date of your choosing. We work with the simplest to the most complicated gowns. We can cut the size of a gown down to fit a smaller size, or we can make the gown a larger size. With almost 30 years of experience Gerri has worked with all types of fabric, from the most delicate silk fabrics to the stone studded fabrics.

With 30 years of experience of working with bridal and formal wear Gerri not only alters from the simplest to the most complicated and unique gowns, but also makes gowns. We also do all the alterations needs at Lace Couture Bridal & Yours Truly Kelly's in Reading's Bridal District. We are often referred to family and friends by our clients.
In our busy season any gowns needed within a month time frame is considered a rush job, and therefore we charge a $50.00 rush fee. If within two week time frame its $100.00. If we have a coupon or on going promotion on our website, you must bring this coupon in for your first fitting. Failure to do so could void any discounts for you.

Gerri was an absolute dream to work with. When I bought my dress from Lace Bridal, they recommended her as their go-to seamstress...I now know why! I was a little hesitant to drive an hour for 5 fittings over the course of 9 months, but it was so worth it.

Can’t recommend Gerri enough!! She truly cares and wants to make sure you are comfortable in your dress and that it looks perfect. We had to reschedule our wedding twice and she was super flexible with all the reschedules and kept my dress safe during the shut down and for months after. I truly believe there is nothing she can’t do to make a dress fit perfectly!

Gerri is a miracle worker! She does absolutely exquisite work, and is very attentive to details. I am convinced she can do anything. She is very kind, understanding, and patient. She helped me out so much in the middle of the pandemic, when my now husband and I decided to go through with a private wedding ceremony. I wanted to still wear my dress and she made it happen, despite many obstacles. I cannot tell you what that means to me. I would recommend her to anyone!

Gerri is amazing. She is always super polite and attentive, and somehow made my strapless wedding dress fit absolutely perfectly. She helped me to find my confidence by transforming my gown from a beaded tent to a perfectly fitted masterpiece. I did have to go to every one of the 6 fittings we scheduled out, but honestly it was so worth it. She wound up taking most of the dress apart and refitting it as my bust line is a tad abnormal. Prices were awesome, she is awesome, highly recommend.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gerri. She does absolute wonders on her clients! 2 days before my wedding I cut my sleeves off my dress for comfort, in a panic gerri reassured me she could make it perfect! And let’s say she didn’t disappoint! I got so many compliments on my dress and how gorgeous it was! No one even knew it had sleeves before! Plus I was so comfortable the entire night and she made my dress fit so perfect to give me all the right shape for photos! Gerri is an absolute blessing to making her clients feel so beautiful and making sure they are happy! I will use her
