Liebsack & Son Auto Service

Um... i called to see what it would cost to have a look at my car which broke down and they charge $150 an hour to do this?
Honestly. Thats just absurd. I have had many quotes and this is nearly 3 times as expensive to just know what is wrong?
Maybe im a bit cheap but that doesnt sound like good business to me. They also said they had enough business already that I would have to wait a week to get it checked.
Either they are the best shop in town and overcharge everyone or i was lied to.
Oh well. No problem looking for a shop thats mindful of their customers.

Friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they took the car right away. I received a call after the inspection and they explained what they had to do. Later when I asked if they could check the fluids they again called and told me what was needed. We picked up the car the next day and they had washed the car😁 I will use them again if needed and I recommend anyone to use them !!!

Great service & people. Truck in and out on time paid half of estimate because it was different leak. honest service !!

After having a negative experience trying to get a smog on my RV, I brought it to Liebsack & Son Auto Service and they quickly diagnosed the problem, provided an estimate, repaired and did the smog inspection. The went above and beyond to help. My RV needed to be driven for about 50 miles before the smog could be done, they offered to come in early and put miles on the RV for me by taking it on the freeway. I put the miles on the RV myself, however, I thought the offer showed that they really wanted to provide great service, and they did!

I recently moved to the Gardena area and needed an overdue oil change. I had a long time mechanic who serviced my car for years so I knew that I needed a major job done to my car but I felt it was way over priced. I tried calling other places but no one would answer and stopping by other places, no one seemed to be available to talk. I was so pleased to stop by Liebsack & Son Auto Services. I got my oil change, and motor mounts.... they checked everything else with my car and I swear it feels like a brand new car. Awesome friendly service and my new go-to mechanic from here on out!

I’m so glad to have found Liebsack and Sons! I thought my Audi was still under warranty and when I found out it wasn’t, I needed to find my own mechanic and now I have. I was looking for a place to smog my 02 Silverado early morning and head straight to the DMV to get every done and go on with my day, let me say that the gentlemen who help me was very professional and ever check my truck before scanning it. Best place by far, and for sure will recommend this to every one!

I was referred by my longtime mechanic, very wary about new people many mechanics just want the money and give lousy service. I was highly impressed by the work and overall price. There is a reason they have been in business for so long. After I had service done, I received a HAND written thank you note,a little thing but very telling. They are HIGHLY recommended.

My wife and I have had George and Steve service our cars for decades. They are highly knowledgeable, skilled, and efficient. The few times that we have done a bit of comparison shopping, we have been happy to learn that they will do the job for less. Sometimes, after checking over the car, they don't even do the job, because they find that the problem flagged by another firm (generally a dealership), does not exist. As a result, we usually just take the car to them and say "fix it," trusting them to do a good job. Trust—that's the key word; they've earned our trust many times over.

Steve always does a great job for us! He has been servicing our company trucks as well as our personal cars for over 20 years! He is one of the most honest and trustworthy mechanics I have ever dealt with. His prices are fair and he is upfront about the process, the time to repair and the costs. I like that he only uses quality parts and that he stands behind his service I believe in supporting family owned small businesses and this is one of the best around! Liebsack and Sons are great mechanics. Period. I read the reviews and it seems like everyone giving them a bad review was trying to cheap out and get service for nothing or next to nothing. I couldn't let that go without my two cents! I have been using them for 10 years and they fix it right...first time...They also use quality parts...My old mechanic was cheaper for brakes but I was blowing through brakes like no tomorrow...I started using these guys and my brakes were lasting forever! Steve said it was because he believes in quality parts...He refuses to go cheap...I can't say enough

$65 to get a smog certificate and to get other parts of my car checked! Not too bad plus friendly and quick service :)

Prices are high, but they do great work and get the job done. I'm not sure if it's a rip off if you get the job done right the first time. I've never had to come back multiple times for the same problem. You have to pay for what you want

I used to take my car the THEE Honda guy over on Artesia. When he retired, he sold his book of business to Steve and George at Liebsack. Because I had trusted my mechanic so much, I trusted that he would not have given his book of business to any schmucks so I blindly trusted them.

For the first few years, Steve, George and I had a lovely relationship. I really trusted and relied on them. Yes, things were pricey to get fixed here, but not anything more than I had experienced before.
All in all, in four years, I probably spent over $3000 here, on a new timing belt, new this, new that, as my car

Over 10 years as a customer, and I'm still confident with the quality of their service.

Classic Father & Son (& Son) Auto Repair Garage. It is obvious that George & Steve have always been into engines of all kinds, as they both have huge insight. Super nice & friendly guys, and competent. Very highly skilled. They are definitely not the cheapest, but they are earnest, smart, skilled, stand behind their work, and you won't have to get the same problem fixed over & over. When they fix something it stays fixed! Typically they get the job done the same day or next day

I also used to go to the Honda guy on artesia (classic auto) and he retired and sold his book to Liebsack so I trusted my old mechanic. I didn't know the new guy would rip you off so much.

I personally will not go back here again. OR WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. At first I had a good experience but as I started to go here I noticed they started marking up 100 percent on parts and their labor was twice as expensive as other shops. I needed to get a speed sensor fixed and they quoted me $450. the part costs $100 and labor should be at most $100. It should have not been more than

Super friendly honest service. i wouldn't call him cheap, but he's not going to screw you. very friendly and accomodating. squeezed me in on a lunch break and confirmed my suspicion that an oil place was trying to screw me with their litany of problems laid out to me.

now i've got to go back and remember the name of that crappy oil changing place.
