Chamo Venezuelan Cuisine
Chamo Venezuelan Cuisine is a casual, family-operated, restaurant that offers the most representative staple food from Venezuela: The World Famous arepas. Chamo is the informal way Venezuelans call each other. It doesn't have any equal in other languages, but it could mean boy - chama for a girl, friend, buddy, stranger, you, or even an informal call out to anybody.

Mis chamos, may be translated "my kids"; Los Chamos was a Venezuelan music male group of the eighties; Chamo is a very common greeting. Chamo is also the name of a new restaurant in Pasadena, California. Chamo Venezuelan Cuisine brings the Venezuelan flavors to life in that very spirit of warmth, family, and informality that characterizes the Venezuelan treatment.

Great Arepa!! Ordered the Pabellón which is filled with Shredded beef , fried plantains, black beans, shredded cheese that melts while you eat it. Very rich flavor, juicy meat and all fresh as I like it. Highly recommend this Venezuelan food place. The interior decor is awesome.

I adore this restaurant! I struggled to find empanadas venezolanas and tequeños when I moved to LA last year and really appreciate this place. The staff is super kind too.

This was my first time having Venezuelan cuisine. The restaurant is colorful and has a nice atmosphere. I went with my boi, so we decided to split our dishes so we could get more variety.
We ordered two arepas
An Arepa is cornmeal slightly doughy on the inside disc that is cut in half to be filled various fillings, like a pita. I tried two kinds...
Arepa Pabellon - Juicy shredded beef, sweet plantains, black beans and crumbled cheese in side an arepa. Definitivamente, mi favorito entre los dos. I think you'd like this one for sure!
Arepa LLanera - flavorful Steak, sliced riped tomatoes and

One of the best places to get a good Venezuelan Dish!
The atmosphere is great, the crew are super nice and friendly, food is freshly made and loyal to the traditional ways of Venezuelan cuisine.
They offer a variety of dishes from Arepas, Empanadas, Cachapas, Pabellón Criollo, chicha and so much more.
I invite you to come visit this Venezuelan Chamo Cuisine, from one Venezuelan to another this is the place to get a real taste of our beautiful country! 🇻🇪

I recently discovered this place when I saw a line out the door of people waiting for food while I was driving down Colorado. I decided to try it on a weekday instead to avoid the crowd and had a good experience here.
My fiance and I ordered several items: the tequeños, reina arepa, and carne molida empanada. The tequeños came out first. They had a crispy fried outer layer with a cheesy inner filling and came with two different dipping sauces. I absolutely loved these and couldn't resist eating almost two of them before the actual meal came. Writing about them now is making my mouth water. Next

Chamo Venezuelan Cuisine was my first time trying Venezuelan food of any kind. There are not that many of these kinds of restaurants in LA, so I had to travel a bit to get to this place in Pasadena. I was quite impressed with their food. Their specialty there is the arepa, which you can get in many selections. I got the cochino frito arepa, which is like fried pork with tomato and avocado. This was a great choice. The pork tasted very good in this sandwich. I like how fresh it tasted, since everything there is fresh made. If you haven't had an arepa before, it's like a flatbread that tastes a little

This Venezuelan Restaurant is owned by proud owners who immigrated like most Venezuelans as part of the largest Diaspora in the countries history.
Having said that, the pride that is placed in the flavor and quality of the food is irrefutably “just like home.”
The cheese sticks also known as “Tequeños,” are a must for an appetizer followed by an Arepa. I had the cheese with avocado arepa while Rey had the grilled beef with avocado and it’s garnishes.
The restaurant is clean, the service is very friendly, and the outside seating area is both spacious & inviting.

Great place for a great sandwich. The restaurant has a nice casual feel. Love the chicken sandwich. Different flavors and a good bite texture. Read wall plaques and then put in your order. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would like this is a great place for takeout, as well as dine in. If you're into experiencing a different flavor and mouth-watering experience, this is the place for you.
There is street parking as well as a parking structure on the top of the building. Great place to walk to.
