Wonderful brunch cafe in Pasadena. Food was delicious, outdoor setting was bright and enjoyable. The place could benefit from outdoor heat lamps, but overall great service and food options. Would definitely come back.

Hands down the best breakfast place in town. The cornflake French toast is amazing. Great friendly staff too.

Brunch on a Monday. We ordered the works French toast, just eggs with chicken cilantro meat, and poorhouse omelet with eggs. Served fast and very friendly attentive staff. Bustling morning crowd. Tons of tables to choose from. The French toast is solid but not as flavorful and flaky as I remember from the many birthdays I have celebrated here. The California centric artwork adds to the warm ambiance. Glad this restaurant has survived and I look forward to finally returning for the lunch menu.

Amazing food. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Started off with the eggs Benedict which had perfectly cooked eggs with runny yolks and finished off with the french toast which was crunchy and soft at the same time. Highly recommend!

How many ways and then how many languages can you say yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy. What a great little café. The staff was great the place was Homie and comfortable the food was absolutely satisfying. Don't miss the macadamia nut pancakes. They are truly special. The eggs Benedict Florentine was really tasty as well. Would definitely come back and chow down again. Truly looks like they have a dedicated local clientele which is always a good sign for a great place to eat.

Came for a laid back last minute weekday breakfast. Very friendly staff and the food was delicious. Giant omellete and appreciated the constant coffee refills. Parking is dodgy but it's worth the effort

Drop by here after our union march today for a quick lunch treat. I am very pleased with my Mushroom Swiss Burger with fries. It costs about $15 which is pretty much an average these days. Salads can be so expensive but i was reluctant to order it. All of my coworkers ordered their own food and they are also pleased with the taste experience. I will be back again here when I'm in the area again. Just a walking distance Frm the City Hall. It's a small building but the foods here are enticing. They closed everyday at 2:30pm and I think the shld close their doors much later. Just

My husband and I just stopped for dinner here and will never be back again. There were two other people inside eating and two or three outside. I watched as the table behind us sent there plate back and told my husband that’s not a good sign. Then our dinner came, my husband got a NY strip and I got a half a
Salad. The truffle fries tasted okay but left a horrible after taste so bad he stopped eating them all together. My salad was fine, I just didn’t eat the boiled tasteless chicken.
When we came in the waitress has to clean a table for us as all the tables were dirty. Funny no one bothered

This is a homestyle restaurant that seems to cater to a lot of regulars, and a lot of people just passing by. We visited on Sunday morning and it was jam-packed, but we got to have a seat at the bar right away for early lunch which was great! They seem to have wine and beer and they had a full menu and everybody was very accommodating, quick, and accurate. I would definitely return here.

A good simple breakfast/lunch restaurant in a world of trendy brunch places. If you're looking for some hearty food without a fancy menu, this is a place to check out.

Came here after a hike to echo mountain. Arrived around 1130am and was able to get seated quickly.

The menu us simple. One side for breakfast, one side for lunch.

I had the pulled pork benedict. Overall it was good, but the pulled pork was a little too mushy for my taste and there wasn't the bold smoky flavor that's typically expected from pulled pork. The potatoes were excellent though.

It doesn't come with

I had the Fantastic French Toast which was really quite mediocre at best. The atmosphere, at least inside was not very nice, and the tables were all very crowded together (definitely less than 6 feet apart) which did not feel terribly COVID-safe. They also mixed up our check with someone else's, though they did fix it quickly when we pointed it out. I wouldn't go back.

My family has been coming here for decades and Marston's has always been a fav for breakfast. However, today we were disappointed with the service & food. The order was incorrect, my egg omelet was overcooked and did not look like 3 eggs. I understand restaurants struggled during Covid but the prices are high for the amount of food you now get. And what happened to the excellent waitstaff pre -Covid?
I will give it another time try so hopefully this was just a misstep.

Yesterday I went to Marston's and had a lackluster, overpriced meal. I ordered the Pasadena Salad, that consisted of tasteless spinach, dry chicken and sparse avocado. At $16.95 the salad was definitely no bargain! The candied pecans were the high point of the salad. My boyfriend had a dry vegetarian omelet. It was the better of the two meals. The English muffin was the best part of both meals. Even the coffee at 4.50 a cup was weak diner coffee.

I wish I were able to give a more positive review and hope Marston's can improve!

This spot has been here for decades. It recently changed hands. That's often a death knell. That is not the case here. The food is actually better than before. The Pulled Pork Eggs Benny are amazingly good. The French Toast are legendary. The breakfasts are great period.

The new owner kept the classics and added a few new items. You can literally taste the love in the food. If you've read any of my reviews in the past, that is what I look for. Love and passion in food. It's worth a drive or a flight. This place is an absolute must.

Enjoy

This was only the 2nd restaurant we had gone to since the pandemic started. Although we are all fully vaccinated, we are only eating outside and we were still nervous. Unfortunately, a car pulled into the parking lot and the occupants immediately sat down without checking in at the front where we had signed in and were waiting to be seated. Luckily there was still one outside table left. There should be a sign in the parking lot directing guests to the front of the house.

Tables were spaced appropriately and most guests kept their masks on when not actively eating. Of course the food and

Socially distanced outdoor seating in their parking lot under an easy up.. Service was excellent and food was decent. I'd like to mention almost bland. It's great for guest that like to add their own spice. I like Tabasco & ketchup on my eggs and potatoes. The food portions are good and you get free baklava w/yelp check in. We also reviewed a coupon for 10% off dinner which is new for them.
I plan on using the coupon and checking out what dinner service has to bring.
I had the Pulled Pork Benedict and my husband had the Texas Chili Omelette. I only ate half and husband finished

Went here for the first time. Was really good. Weird pricing on the chili. $16. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for that. Great service. Great food. Great value other than $16 chili.
