You are encouraged to participate in the inspection walk through, so that you can gain a complete understanding of the condition of your home.
Owner and inspector (see our inspection services), Peter Bunai, came to Hampton Roads with the U.S. Navy in 1988 serving as Nuclear Engineer aboard the USS Spadefish, a fast attack submarine out of Norfolk. Peter currently resides in Williamsburg with his wife and three children. Peter is also a Pilot and in his spare time enjoys flying around Virginia.

I never understand people who want a quick inspection. I work in the field and have recommended companies before and the feedback I've gotten was "they took a really long time". Well, if you want to pay someone to just walk through and say you're good, try someone else. But if you're like me and want to know what I'm getting into when buying a house and uncover everything I wish I know, these guys are great. Very happy with their service.

We are glad we had Ist Choice perform the inspection on a home we were buying. They were very thorough! In fact they saved us from making a mistake that could have cost uf a major part of our retirement savings. The house was beautiful but had internal problems that would have cost us too much to repair and remediate.

Super easy to book these guys online. There was no hassle at all. Danny the rep was on time, knowledgeable, thorough, personable, and professional. He walked us through his inspection while on-site and gave us a heads up on any major issues. Then we had the official report the following morning. It was all fast and painless. I highly recommend.

The home inspector Josh was very professional and friendly. He did not rush the job and looked at everything as if he was buying the house. Our home inspector was professional, knowledgeable, and so helpful to us! We are buying a 130+ year old farmhouse. 1st Choice Home Inspections inspected a new property that we were interested in buying. They worked hard to schedule the inspection as soon as possible and completed the work on time. The inspector, Joshua, was great to work with, he met me at the location and took his time explaining the contents of the report and patiently answered all questions I had. Before we had an inspector come out, we made a list of things we noticed that needed fixed. Scheduling an appointment was super easy to do online and they were able to get out to the house quickly. Our inspector, Thomas, noted everything we had noticed, plus more! The report (which we got back in less than 24 hours!) was very detailed, easy to understand, and included pictures with arrows pointing to everything being described. Overall, Thomas did a wonderful job and his report was very helpful. We highly recommend using 1st Choice and we will continue to use them for our future homes!
