This instrument allows Dr. Hyman to assess peripheral vision loss. Conditions that cause peripheral vision loss include glaucoma, brain tumors and strokes. Early detection of these conditions can be potentially vision and or life saving to the patient. It can also detect eye damage caused by side effects from systemic medications.

I have been going to Dr. Hyman's office for 10+ years since I first needed glasses. I can remember Dr. Hyman and his staff being extremely helpful and thorough when I transitioned to contacts when I was younger. They took the time to thoroughly guide me through the process and make sure I was competent putting contacts in on my own. I highly recommend Elite Eyecare to anyone looking for a friendly and caring optometrist!

Dr. Hyman took the time to really examine my vision and let me know of any issues I was having. I've never received a more thorough examination and his patience is welcoming - we all know how that is a lost trait nowadays. I've never had better vision and I really appreciate being able to have a better understanding of my condition.

I am surprised I am the first to write a review on Dr. Hyman! I feel he is the best eye doctor I have ever gone to as far as thoroughness, friendliness and attention to detail. I have gone to others in the past and haven't had as thorough an exam. He is also great at helping give his opinion on picking out glasses. Great doc, great guy!
