Dr. Jo is a graduate of Loma Linda University and is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics for the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and has been providing clinical supervision at the graduate orthodontic clinic for over 20 years.
In cases where early intervention is required, Dr. Jo offers first phase treatment to our younger patients. These smaller scale treatments may last anywhere from 6 to 15 months, and help correct such issues where the potential of lasting damage to permanent teeth is a threat, such as crossbite. The earlier we catch problems with your child's bite, the simpler they are to fix.
We know how scary visiting the orthodontist can be, especially the first time. Not only do you have paperwork to fill out and insurance to sort out, but also many people have an overwhelming fear of the dentist and orthodontist. Because of this, we work hard to offer our patients a welcoming and comfortable office.
MediCal has a very specific exam, which involves the doctor documenting the presence of varying conditions of the teeth, each of which is assigned a certain point value. If you qualify at 26 points or above, have no baby teeth, and are between the ages of 13-20, we can ask MediCal to approve your case.

Dr Jo and his staff are the best!!!! During Covid he was so professional and welcoming! A few years ago, I got my own braces finished with Dr Jo when my former orthodontist stopped working and it was the a painless and easiest transfer ever!!!! 4 years later when my daughter needed braces, no questions asked, Dr Jo was the man!!! His staff are(is?) amazing!!!! When covid hit, things were smooth with their professionalism!! Thank you Dr Jo! When my 7 year old will need orthodontics, we will be with Dr Jo!!!

Such an amazing experience. From start to finish, the process was both smooth and easy. The staff are extremely kind, courteous, and they each have their own unique personality. The atmosphere at the office is also very welcoming and uplifting. Overall, it is a great office that excels in many aspects including customer service.
