Racing in RYC has a long tradition of quality, fun, fair racing. Along with the standard Wednesday Night and weekend racing, there are several special events during the year. The Hook Race is a great alternative to the Chicago to Mackinaw Race as it keeps you closer to shore and a great value. This is a great venue for those who want to get out and do a long distance sail without breaking the bank.
RYC has also been host to many North American and National Events including the Nacra North Americans and Cat Fight, the S2 7.9 Class Championships and the Ultimate 20 North Americans.

Services
We believe that for a very reasonable cost, Racine Yacht Club offers many ways to increase your boating pleasure, skills and knowledge --- along with building a lasting camaraderie with others who enjoy Lake Michigan. We manage our own slip system and dry sail area (with a 2-ton hoist) and we have transient dockage for our guests.
There are many parties during the year, and our galley serves tasty, reasonably priced fare several days of the week. Our regatta week is great fun, and our fully stocked bar facility is at the center for many a tale of the high seas. Stop in and watch the game on our flat panel televisions and enjoy drinks and fellowship.
This program is open to all over 21 with little or no experience in sailing. Those of you who are more experienced are also welcome to come and hone your sailing skills. After the classroom sessions, you'll be able to put your new skills to work, sailing on the Racine Yacht Club member's yachts. Many of RYC's members are volunteering their time and their vessels to allow you to use your experience - "hands-on" - sailing on Lake Michigan.
The Western Lake Michigan Star Fleet (WLM) fleet is one of the longest active fleets in North America. Stars have been sailed at the Racine Yacht Club since 1938 and the fleet was chartered with the International Star Class Yacht Racing Association in 1948 when Kenosha and Racine Star sailors combined fleets.
For the learning, fun and joy of sailing, and forming, building a strong, tight community. Attract people to the club, sailing, and participating in the Adult Sailing Program and Adult, Family Sailing/Cruising. Overall, provide good, fun, memorable sailing activities; draw new members; instill more energy, interest and excitement into the club and increase member participation or contributions.

Members only. They don’t seem to want to expand membership to “undesirables”. We had a going away party for a six month sailing cruise to say goodbye to loved ones. We were told it was okay to grab a few tables outside for our pizzas we had ordered, this upset the majority of the membership that were in attendance however so we were asked to leave in a rude and disrespectful manner halfway through eating. We had spent $1200 at the yacht club’s bar with generous tips just the weekend previous to this incident for our wedding. We found the sudden unwelcoming vibe very disturbing after all

My wife and I are former members, tonight was one of the special celebration dinners. This is a "members and their guests only" club, my brother and sister-in-law are members and invited us to join them for the St. Patrick day Corned beef dinner. The Celtic Gypsies played Irish tunes (great selection) and the drinks were delicious, The corned beef was a little over-cooked and was served as you would pulled pork, shredded, not sliced. The side dishes were boiled cabbage, boiled carrots, and boiled potatoes, you could have a choice of a traditional dinner or the fixin's for a Reuben sandwich.
