We had a wonderful stay at The Deck House. Javier was so nice and welcoming. We appreciated the contactless check in. Javier was just a phone call away. We actually never needed him. Very private tiny 2 person lodging within walking distance of downtown Southwest Harbor. And a short drive to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and Cadillac Mountain. Favorite restaurants: Cafe Drydock, Cafe 2, Sip 2.0 (wonderful prepared meal to take), Batson’s Fish Camp, and Beals. In Bar Harbor: Galyns, and Paddy’s. Our private deck offered some beautiful views of the quiet harbor. Highly recommend for some

My husband and I spent a week at Pier 1 in the Quata Deck. It is a cute cottage area and privately tucked away and well secured. Our host, Javier was most gracious and attentive during our entire stay. Wonderfully located to all the areas of mid-Maine we wanted to see including Rockland, Camden, Blue Hill, Acadia National Park, Schoodic peninsula, Machias and Eastport Maine. We had wonderful full day trips to all the after mentioned. Our accommodations included a well stocked kitchen too! This was our third time renting the Fok-Sul at Pier One. We love it because it's right on the water. Our first year the weather was not the best and yet we still loved it. Southwest Harbor is influenced by the Bay of Fundy tide and there was something calming about watching the 11-foot tide come in or out. I particularly liked making a pot of coffee and sitting on the deck in the very early morning. The Fok-Sul is kind of funky, probably a former fisherman's place. If you like lobster, you're within an easy walk (2 minutes) to Beal's. In fact walking in to the center is less than 10 minutes. Sawyer

The Fok-sul is beautifully situated at the water's edge, very relaxing to sit staring at the inlet, the lobstering activities and watching dusk descend while sipping a glass of wine. This is listed as a studio but is actually larger than expected, with a fine sitting area, complete kitchen with breakfast nook, patio area out front, and waterfront balcony out back. The décor consists of well-chosen found objects that create a magical hideaway feeling. It was a real pleasure to hang out at the Fok-sul and ignore the area's tourist hustle-bustle.
