If staying in the House, please do not block the driveway that goes to the Cabin, which is in the rear of the lot. To orient you, if you continued on Eagle Lake Road for another 3 miles, you would be in downtown Bar Harbor. You can reach Bar Harbor Car-Free, then take the Island Explorer Shuttle (Routes 6&7) to Acadia Getaway.

Being able to visit here was a dream come true! Even though the weather did not co-operate and most of the facilities and restaurants were closed we were able to see and do everything we had planned. In fact not having to deal with the crowds and enjoy the sites, attractions and trails in relative peace was great. There are trails to suit all levels of fitness and of course the scenery was spectacular. I read a lot of travel sites and reviews in planning our trip - don’t miss this place! If this national park is on your list, make a plan to get here and experience it for yourself!

The views are phenomenal... the fresh air, the smell of trees...ah I loved every moment there. Parking available throughout. Definitely get the pass for a few days.

A showcase of New England at it best. Breathtaking beauty of nature...especially during the fall!!
Fall is probably the best time to visit in my opinion as it is prime leaf peeping season. The different color leaves just elevates the scenery and landscape. It wasn't too busy when I visited but it was fairly cold. Make sure to dress warm this time of the year.
One of the smaller national parks but definitely lots to do and see for nature lovers. So many trails, beaches, and gorgeous views of the coast.
I'd say a good 3 to 4 days is needed to explore this park.

An Amazing National park that you MUST check off of your list!
Be sure to drive the park loop and see all of the amazing sights.
The loop is one way only for over half its length, so check your map to be sure that you know where you are going!
Stop off to see the Thunder Hole, Sand Beach, and walk along the cliff trail on the southeast portion of the drive. There are plenty of parking lots, and parking is allowed in the right lane of the road in high demand and crowded areas. (Just heed the signs to know where you can park legally)
Go to Jordan Pond to walk the scenic trail around the Pond

I love this place!!! The trails and views are amazing!! I wished we lived closer to be able to do these hikes more often! We will be back soon to do more hiking! Heads up...the trails that are listed as easy online and on some apps can be difficult to navigate for some people. Good hiking shoes are recommended!

An absolute gem of a national park. The beauty of the scenery and landscape is beyond words. There are plenty of wonderful hiking trails, vista's, and scenic drives. Parking can be an issue at times in certain parts of the park as many people wish to experience its beauty. Definitely worth a trip of its own.
