My work is influenced by many diverse philosophies and is constantly evolving. I have used many different therapeutic approaches and consider myself more of an "eclectic" therapist as every client is different. I have found that what works with one person or family doesn't always work for another. Primarily, I use Self Psychology, Systems Theory, Psychodynamic, Family of Origin and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

When I work with families, I draw heavily on my Family Systems training. I have found great power in the use of transparency, empowerment models, motivational interviewing, relational work and strengths focus. I continue to add to my "tool belt" by exploring EMDR, mediation concepts, positive psychology and coaching techniques.
Services
Room for growth. After a few years of being blended, hopefully the family will grow and members will choose to spend more time together and feel closer to one another. Anxiety: Anxiety can be normal in stressful situations like public speaking or going for a job interview. Anxiety is only an indicator of underlying disease when feelings become excessive, all-consuming, and interfere with daily living.
From Willamette, turn into the parking lot in front of Evergreen Nutrition. Look for the red brick part of the building toward the back (East) of the lot. My signs are on the bricks. Follow these upstairs to the first door at the top to my waiting room where I will meet you. Please let me know if accessibility is an issue and we can talk about alternate meeting locations.
My fee is typically $165 per 50 minutes. Your first intake session is $200. In addition, there may be charges for specialized assessments, written documents such as certain kinds of letters, reports, treatment plans, case management services and/or telephone calls. I will inform you of these when applicable prior to provision of service.
