We have been extremely happy with East West Martial Arts. The staff is amazing. Classes have a lot of energy and variety to keep kids engaged and growing in their understanding of martial arts. The staff are very kind and encouraging. They challenge our daughter to be her best and continue to make improvements, not only in Karate, but in her life as well. She absolutely loves coming here. As an educator of young children I love what I have seen at this Martial Arts studio where my daughter has trained for the last two and a half years. My daughter doesn't hold interest in things for very long. She has had other friends take martial arts over the years and they all eventually quit. My daughter has loved Martial arts here at East/ West. I love how they treat the kids, I see they are flexible in student's various needs. East West Martial Arts is simply amazing. Their passion for instructing kids in martial arts is second to none. But what I want to most praise them for right now is their birthday party hosting skills. We recently hosted our youngest son's party here. I'll cut to the chase and say that I'm a BIG fan of what they have going on at the Hazel Dell location. I got started with self defense a little later than normal (37 yrs old) and each staff member has made the process really accessible. Martial arts can be intimidating at times but Eric, Tre, Mike, etc are always happy to lend a hand even if it's a few extra questions after class. I could not speak any higher of this place! I Love everything about the program! The employees are exceptional and outstanding with the kiddos. Jonah is a true gift! My kids and I participate in children's, teen and adult programs. It's my favorite activity we've ever done together. It's great discipline and exercise, and builds confidence for all of us. The instructors and curriculum are great, and the kids really look up to their instructors. I highly recommend for families, and as a female, Krav Maga leaves me much better equipped to protect myself, should I ever need to.

My grandson loves it here, and we do, too! He really likes all of the instructors and they encourage each child to do their best and to have respect for self and others. The instructors help each student achieve their goals. If a child needs individual help, they'll work with that student to be sure they succeed. Some of the classes have several students and the academy adds enough instructors to be sure each student has eyes on them and will succeed in the class. We highly recommend East West Martial Arts to all!

My son was very nervous and didn't want to come inside. He was sitting on a bench outside the building. Someone who worked there came outside and was super nice to my son explained that it would be fun and he would show him around. My son has anxiety He's 7 and he made him very comfortable! The other employee told me that's the owner! So shout out to the owner!!! Thank you!!!! The private lesson was great got it free from the mall. Will be for sure signing up. I think this is a great fit for self esteem and focus where we are trying to improve in. Thanks so much!

These reviews are spot on, my daughter started when she was 5.5yrs old & loves this place. The teachers stay really patient with the little champions.
Also they really help amplify respect, self-control, self-discipline and boosting confidence. In the short time my daughter has been attending I've already noticed a big boost in her over all character. These teachers are awesome.
She started with Mrs. Bre and she was wonderful with my daughter while earning her white belt & breaking her first board.

These guys do a fantastic job with kids. Our son has been here for over six years and is still loving it. The instructors are highly skilled in martial arts and are adept at working with people of all ages. Instruction is fast-paced and active and focuses on athletic development as well as character development. Over the time our son has been here, we have seen him grow in martial arts skill, but also in self-confidence, and he has made several good friends. If you're considering martial arts, I recommend East West without reservation.

My daughters have been going to East West for approximately 6 months and I can't say enough about this program and the staff. They consistently check the progress of the students, and are in contact with parents of children when they are concerned about absences or progress. Always kind and courteous, right away they recognized our faces and names and really made us feel at home.

I started taking Krav Maga classes at East West last fall when I was recovering from cancer treatment. I was exhausted every day and very out of shape. I've been a student for over a year now, and it has changed my life. I'm more physically fit, self-confident, and happier than I've ever been. The instructors are all very skilled, professional, and friendly. My kids have been taking lessons at East West since we moved to the area recently. They both love it. All the instructors really seem to care about the kids and enjoy what they are doing.
Also,the teachers are very patient. It took a few months before my (very shy) three year old would participate and they slowly got him to trust them and feel confident. They teach self-discipline, focus and respect in a way that all the kids really respond well to.
My older son really enjoys the day camps and special evening events. It's really helping him get to know new kids and be social in a new town

Our son takes classes here and they have definitely helped him improve in his confidence and discipline. He is more focused now and continues to set & meet personal goals. It has even helped him make great decisions in school. I don't anticipate him becoming the next Bruce Lee or anything, but I do feel like he is learning basic defensive maneuvers that he can use in real life situations. They do great work with kids, and adults, teaching respect , discipline, and the importance of physical fitness. The staff is always respectful and the classes are great, not too long, not to short. East West is an excellent place to get yourself or your kids into perfect mental and physical shape.
It would be nice if the would teach BJJ again.
