Services
It was back in 1922 when Thomas J. Cooney opened his one room funeral parlor on Chicago's north side. It was located on the corner of Marshfield and Addison in the shadows of the St. Andrew Church. We take tremendous pride in his decision to serve others in their time of need as we continue to put families first when their loved ones pass away.
In the ever changing world of funeral services, we face new challenges and ideas presented at every service we arrange. Every family we take care of is different and their personalities are different. There is a wide variety of funeral arrangements available that can directly relate to one's interests and personality.
Adored Mama of Amanda (Mike) Glascott, proud stepmother to Ben (Sylvie) Resch. Fond Great Aunt to many! Beloved sister to Mary Wilson Crocker and Barbara Collins and our dearly departed Rita and. Kathleen was the daughter of William and Mary Ann Gavin and was born June. 11, 1937. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Mary Ellen, William, and Nancy.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
Caskets provide a dignified final resting place for your loved one who has passed away. Caskets are made of wood and metal. Our large casket showroom will allow you to select a casket that fits your needs and your budget. Caskets range in prices from $895 and up. Very much like caskets, urns range in price from a few hundred to thousands of dollars.

Thank you, Michael Cooney, for your excellent listening and for arranging Mom's graveside service just how we asked on July 25, 2020. Since covid safety guidelines were in place, you were very flexible with setting up chairs, a podium, a table and a tent for us. I would highly recommend cooney Funeral Home, Park Ridge.

We used Cooney Funeral Home on two occasions. After my mother died, they helped us set up a visitation, mass, and burial. When my brother died during the 2020 shutdown, we needed to plan a much smaller and more restricted service. In both instances, we found Cooney to be professional, thorough, and above all compassionate. They attended to very possible detail and made the entire process easy for all of us. Much appreciated.

My family and friends have been using Cooney's ever since I can remember. Going back to 25 years ago when my dad passed away, and we have had several other services done by the Cooney family. They are all so caring and professional, and truly take pride in the work that they do. I wouldn't recommend any other family at a time in need.

There's a reason the Cooney Funeral Home has been around for 80+ years. They handled the services for my uncle and my grandpa and our family couldn't have been more grateful and lucky for the support, attention to detail and all around seamless service that they provided us, and every family with. They are the epitome of a professional, kind and accommodating family business. They genuinely treat every family as their own, and that's what sets them apart. You will not find a better funeral home/service in the Chicagoland area. Period.
