With three generations of service, we have been providing the families of Park Ridge, Edison Park, Des Plaines, Niles, Glenview, Chicago and beyond with personal, professional, and dignified service. The funeral home was established in 1936 by Clement J. Ryan Sr.; the original building, a brown brick bungalow, was located at 120 South Northwest Highway, where today's current facility now stands.
Additionally, Clem Sr. also established the first ambulance service in the area in 1950. The ambulance service flourished for over 25 years; at its peak, it was answering 1,500 calls per year. In 1987, Clem Sr. died at the age of 83. His wife Luella died in 1992 at the age of 93.

Services
At Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, we understand that funerals are for the living - they allow us to acknowledge that a life has been lived. Funerals provide an opportunity for us to gather to share, remember, and honor a loved one in a special way. They also provide closure to the bereaved by establishing a forum where family and friends can come together for support.
Originally a bungalow-style home, Ryan-Parke Funeral Home experienced the first of several major renovations in 1946. That year, two additional chapels were added, as well as various cosmetic changes to the building and surrounding property. Then, in 1960, the home was again expanded with an additional chapel, a new elevator, and a casket display room.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The "personal information" below is regarding the individual you are making arrangements for. At a minimum, please provide us with the name and telephone number and tell us how you'd like us to work with you on the remaining information using the options at the base of the form. Additional Family MembersPlease use the area above to enter the names of siblings, children and grandchildren.
Funerals fill an important role for those mourning the loss of a loved one. By providing surviving family and friends with an atmosphere of care and support in which to share thoughts and feelings about death, funerals are the first step in the healing process. It is the traditional way to recognize the finality of death.

There are no words to express my deep gratitude to all of you in helping our family through a most difficult time. Your professionalism and kindness will always be remembered. You met with me and my sisters and listened to us-never feeling rushed. You coordinated all the little details we wanted-the single stem roses that all of us placed with our prayers -to make our mother's burial everything we hoped it would be. A special thank you to Ed-you went above and beyond and it will always be appreciated. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

There is no words to describe the deep and immense gratitude and empathy we were given. Never had we experience so much compassion and understanding to our pain and to an inevitable reality that death makes no appointment. Not only did they grant my mothers last wish to not spend an overnight in a hospital. They came within an hour to hospital around midnight to fulfill her wishes. They understood our wish to keep her modesty and give her 5 star treatment. They treated my dear mother with respect, for them it was not a corpse but the temple of my mother's soul. They never made an issue and

The team at Ryan Parke Funeral Home is amazing. They helped our family navigate a course through a very difficult time and they were with us at every step of the way. Their down to earth advice was priceless. It is without hesitation that I recommend RPFH to any family in need of funeral services, cremation services, or pre-arranged funeral planning.

Ryan-Parke Funeral Home is a good choice for a funeral home. The funeral home is well maintained and the employees are very nice. According to my cousin (who dealt with them), "they were more than accommodating, and extremely professional."
Its easy to be vulnerable when dealing with the death of a loved one. Ryan-Parke Funeral home was reasonable. The staff at Ryan-Parke was also very courteous to the family. The funeral home is also conveniently located next to St. Paul of the Cross Church. I don't have much to say but I know they deserve some sort of "shout out" for
