Dropped my maid of honor dress off 2 weeks before the wedding. The day before the wedding when I picked it up it wasn't even ready. They didn't even touch it. The excuse was that Carlos was on vacation. Wish they told me that 2 weeks ago when they promised it would be ready. In addition they are very expensive, $65 to get my dressed hemmed. while I found another amazing place that did it in an hour and charge $30. Beware of this place if you need something ready for a specific date, I saw other reviews that were similar to mine. Absolutely horrible, and extremely unprofessional

Very disappointing I was suppose to pick up my dress from Carlos July 30th to get the straps adjusted to be even and had the bottom hemmed, when I went to pick it up it wasn't even ready let alone touched, the following week I came back again to see if it was ready and still it wasn't touched I was beyond pissed since it was a dress that I needed for a friends wedding. Every week he kept pushing back that it wasn't ready I was beyond annoyed it is now Aug. 26th almost a month since the first time I was suppose to pick it up. I was referred to Carlos by my cousin in law who raves about his excellent work. (I also found out later on that it was my stepcousin who recommended Carlos to cousin in law). I took a dress and pants to Carlos for altering and everything came out beautifully. He promised it would be done within a week and his prices are Very reasonable.
BTW I did see the 1 star review who complained her bridesmaid dress wasn't ready in the 2 weeks and picked up the dress the same weekend of the wedding. Then she continued to complain about Carlos rushing on that day. I don't personally believe that

Carlos is the best for all alterations of any kind! I brought my daughters gowns here on Tuesday for her photoshoot on a Thursday, and Carlos texted me that they were done by 1pm on Wednesday! His tailoring is on point and the pure definition of perfection! He made my daughters gowns fit her like a glove! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great customer service without any hassle or inconvenience! Carlos's customer service is impeccable, his skills in tailoring amazing, the turn around time is unbelievably quick and the outcome is absolutely breathtaking! Thank you Carlos

Excellent service. I called Carlos's tailoring shop on a Friday morning asking if he could tailor my suit before Sunday unfortunately for a wake. I figured he would hopefully have it done by Saturday. He told me to drop it off that same morning and would get it done by Saturday for me. I dropped it off and he had it done for me the same day. I was more than pleased and would definitely use him again!

I first came her a few years ago after a different tailor botched a bridesmaid dress. Carlos was able to fix it and make it fit comfortably. I continue to come here for all of my tailoring needs. Carlos is always very professional and my clothes are in better condition than when I drop them off. He always finishes the job on time, and calls me when its ready. Would definitely recommend!

Carlos is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, and does good work when he actually gets around to it. He just consistently fails to meet agreed upon deadlines and doesn't communicate when he's behind. His communication isn't poor - it's non existent!
I gave him 6 shirts and explained that I need them tailored for a new job that was a month out. It was pretty quick work. He told me to come back in a week. I did, and he hadn't even begun and didn't bother to tell me. I show up, and he asks for another week. The same thing happened 4 more times! Despite promising

I highly recommend Tailoring by Carlos in Bellmore! My daughter's gown needed shortening but it had a trim on the bottom shaped like a wave, made of a different material, so it was a complicated job. Carlos did the alteration so well you cannot even tell that the trim was removed and reattached again. Great personal service at reasonable rates.The shop is busy but Carlos made sure we were comfortable at every fitting. Thanks Carlos!

Only gave one star to be able to post!!!! The "Art of a Sh*t Show" definitely NOT the "Art of Tailoring". Biggest mistake of my life was walking through the door. He should be ashamed to call himself a Tailor. When I told him how disappointed and upset I was he couldn't have cared less!!! Not sure how he stays in business!!!! Absolutely Disgusting!!! Not to mention after having the dress for over a month he started my daughters dance dress 2 days after the pick up date rushed through it ruined it and now I have to try and find someone else to fix it she she can compete

I searched a good month for a tailor to alter my wedding dress. I came to Carlos recommended and was a little weary leaving my wedding dress in the hands of someone that i have never used before. Well, after picking up my dress i am so thrilled with the outcome. My dress was a unique lace and he took such great care of it and when i tried it on it fit like a glove! Not to mention you can't even notice there was anything done to the dress. I will definitely be back for more and would trust Carlos with any of my garments. The prices were so reasonable as well and he is so pleasant to talk to

After hearing about this tailor from one of our towns fb groups raving about this place I decided to bring my dress for a wedding to get taken in and hemmed. My mother and daughter also came with me and wanted their dresses altered too. Red flag number one was the smell when I walked in to the place. It didn't smell too fresh. We stayed though bc we heard good things. We went two and a half weeks before our event so that he could have plenty of time to finish. He asked us to pick up the dresses a day later than we wanted so that he could have more time bc it was prom season. We obliged but

Terrible! I gave Carlos 2 full weeks to do some tailoring of a bridesmaid dress and when I arrived on the day that was set to pick it up (the day I was leaving for the wedding), he had not even STARTED to do the work yet. I arrived at 1:30 in the afternoon and he asked me to come back later that day, I arrived at 3:15 as discussed and he was JUST beginning to sew my dress in front of me. I was extremely upset. He did not finish the work until after 5:30 and I was already late to leave for the wedding. He even messed up the back panel of my dress when I was there and had to redo the whole thing
