We had a reservation at 8 on a Friday night and it was empty. Very strange but we figured maybe it was new and people hadn’t heard about it. We were literally the only people in the restaurant the whole time we were there.
The food was pretty underwhelming here. It wasn’t terrible, just not even comparable to other restaurants in this price range. Went with the chef’s recommendations from the wait staff too.
Service was great, seeing as we had all the attention. Drinks were very solid as well, would actually consider just coming back for that. The restaurant itself is also very nicely designed

I have wanted to come to the restaurant for some time, and we finally made it. All of the dishes starting with the guacamole to the main entree, were not only good but spectacular. I highly recommend this outstanding gourmet Mexican-inspired restaurant. The ambiance and decor are beautiful, and will definitely be back!

Maia house is consistent with their food, excellent service and delicious drinks. It’s a hidden gem tucked in the Aloft hotel. We first visited for our 6th anniversary and the second time was for brunch. Both times were amazing. I’d recommend the crusted sea bass.

The food isn't good so not surprised the place is empty. Deservedly so/ The tuna in the tuna tostada was not fresh and not particularly flavorful. The tortilla soup was a glob of something swimming a little bit of thick liquid. The service is mediocre and slow. I was there for a group event and I ended up paying for everyone in the party's bill even though I said I would pay for my own. Unfortunately, I didn't check the bill before I paid. So, lack of attention to detail plus bad food. Don't bother.

I don't usually come to a restaurant with high expectations but Maia House fell short. The Old Fashioned was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend. The Snapper was sold out so I went with the Swordfish which was pretty tasty but nothing out of this world. The flan dessert was also very yummy. Knocked off a star for the underwhelming Swordfish.

There are not enough words to describe the excellence in service we received. From my first call with the Chef, Hillary Fernandez, I knew right away this would be the restaurant where we'd host our engagement dinner.

Hillary worked with me to create a tasting menu and also went out of her way to create custom menus and name tags for our seating chart that we created. She decorated the table beautifully and understood exactly the ambiance I was going for!

The food was spectacular. Our family was raving about how great the food was all night and how much they enjoyed the experience. We&apos

Maia came across my radar initially when I found out they had a mixologist. I can appreciate any fine restaurant who adds this extra layer of detail to their staff and menu. But Maia offers a lot more than perfectly prepared libations (thank you Barbara!). They also offer up an an amazing Mexican fusion menu expertly crafted by Chef Hillary (former sous chef at another favorite, Stubborn Seed). Add to that delicious tunes by resident DJ Wasabi, chic decor and a fabulous staff and you have what should make this a Miami hot spot. Can't wait to check out their brunch!

First time coming to this place and had a bad experience. Came here for happy hour and ordered Micheladas because they have 1/2 off drink for happy hour but wasn't made aware that my drink was not part of that... ordered 5. The tacos were mediocre and $4 a piece. The al pastor tasted fishy so had to send that back. The guacamole didn't taste like much and the salsas were non flavorful. The michelada was the only positive but very pricey if not on the happy hour menu. Do not come here!

I went to the Taste of Maia monthly dinner tasting (every last Monday of the month)! Chef Hillary Fernandez came to greet us, and the general manager was extremely attentive. The chef created a concept drawing inspiration from multicultural cuisine delivering a unique culinary experience. Our intimate multi-course dinner paired with cocktails (by Venezuelan mixologist Barbara Correa) was perfectly thought out. Each dish and cocktail represented a different country's cuisine but elevated to a gourmet experience. If you want a six course with a lovely ambiance in Coral Gables, you need to try

We just enjoyed an amazing brunch at MAIA Restaurant today following a fabulous meal the night before. The coffee is Cuban strong and delicious, their version of chicken & waffles is fantastic and their Heuvos Divorciados is sublime. The adult beverages the night before (dark rum smoked old fashioned) were chock full of awesomeness, too. Sprinkle in their cool Miami vibe and warm hospitality for us Americanos and it adds up to a place in the Coral Gables, FL area that we'll always remember!

Pretty cool Mexican fusion restaurant! I found out about this cute spot from Miami Spice! The service a tad bit slow but the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The drinks and appetizers were tasty, I loved the guacamole. And the bread pudding was delicious.

This is brunch recommendation only! Maia is a modernly classy restaurant, clean and relaxing. Their pastries run $6 but you can select 5 for $25. The starters are $8 to $12. We had the three Chipotle eggs for $8. The main courses are $14 to $23. The egg white omelette $16 was cooked perfectly with a lettuce and tomato salad. The chilaquiles ($14) are filling and tasty. Add the thick bacon $6 just to upset your dietician. It’s Sunday.

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant in trendy jewel tones and warm metals with a modern Mexican menu and drinks program.
My corn-crusted seabass was delicately flaky and fresh tasting. I loved the rough-mashed texture of the guacamole and the toasted flavor of the roasted cauliflower coming together with a drizzle of truffley sauce. My skinny margarita was made with fragrant limes and a solid tequila kick that made you do a tongue-pop!
If you're in the mood for Mexican that is lighter, tasty and maybe a tad bougie, this is the spot for you. It's the rare Elsa Benitez in a sea of Thalia and

Located on the first floor of a hotel in Coral Gables is this beautifully decorated hip and modern restaurant with a lounge-like vibe and really, really excellent food. The music is a bit loud but it adds a cool vibe to the ambiance. We ordered the guacamole, cauliflower, octopus, sashimi, quesadilla, roasted corn, sea bass and ended with a rich chocolate dome mousse with a side of orange ice cream. Truly all excellent dishes. The octopus stood out for its amazing flavor that included cinnamon. Not sure how they made that work but it was on point. I was accompanied by a chef whose palette is way

I am posting for a friend - who never complaints, is extremely complacent and always finds the positives in most restaurants BUT, after listening to her experience I volunteered to share her story.

Time: 5:40 - 2/persons - Sunday 6-10-2021
Total bill:$207.00 including tip.

Starters:
Filet mignion sashimi was good

Acapulco ceviche - fish was totally clear/raw (unlike other fish ceviche where the raw fish actually cooks in the lime juice- this did not) taste was fishy and texture was rubbery..the waiter was made aware and it was sent back ...BUT, no attempt was made to remedy situation and

Ordered horchata sour, old fashioned, octopus, tuna sashimi, guacamole and chips, and the burger/fries and everything was really good and fresh. Service was super slow on a Sunday night with only 5-6 tables, but I definitely recommend the food.

I was super excited to check this new place out. It's located at the heart of Coral Gables adjacent to Aloft. The service was exceptional and the decor very modern and chic but the vibes were off. The restaurant was pretty empty and many things on the menu were not available. What we did eat was delicious, but the food is overpriced considering the many options near by exceptional food and lower prices.

To start we had the beef sashimi abs acapulco ceviche. The acapulco ceviche was def the star here. Very fresh and the Curry Ketchup was a great subtle surprise.

I had the Wagu beef, which

New Gem in the heart of Coral Gables, Mexican cuisine with a modern touch. Great drinks and service. The pork belly dish and the chocolate dessert were our table favorites.
Thank you for a lovely night!
