The Centers for Disease Control, Kansas Optometric Association, and Kansas State Board of Examiners in Optometry have issued guidelines for optometry practices to reopen safely. Curts & Reed Optometry are following these recommendations as we continue to see patients for essential eye health and vision needs.
Of note: only patients, patient interpreters, and guardians of minor patients may enter the office, and all patients must supply their own face covering to wear at all times in the office. We are unable to accommodate walk-in visits for eye exams and contact lens fittings at this time. Please schedule an appointment online.

I am extremely impressed with this office. I took my 3 year old in for her first eye exam very nervous of how it would go. The staff was incredibly patient and kind. Dr. Reed is great with kids. He talked to her the whole time, helped redirect her energy, and treated her with as much respect as an adult. The receptionist was also very warm and patient. This was a difficult process for a high strung toddler but they were amazing!

Dr Reed was incredible! I’ve been in the medical field for several years and was so impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and personal approach. I didn’t feel like a number…. I truly loved how he took the time to explain my entire eye exam! I’ve never had an Optometrist take that time!!! I would recommend Dr Reed to all of my family and friends!!!!!

I have visited Dr. Reed twice, for myself and two of my children. He is very friendly, with a great bedside manner that made my kids feel comfortable. He didn't rush us at all, but explained everything he was doing as he went along and answered all of my questions thoroughly. We received a nice hand written followup card from him personally, which is practically unheard of nowadays. Great experience both times, and we will be back with my other kiddos at a later time!

We visited Dr. Reed in participation of the Infant See and See to Learn programs that provide free eye exams for infants and 3 year olds. Dr. Reed was warm, friendly and professional, making the exam incredibly non-threatening and fun for my children. We were seen within minutes of arrival and the exam was quick but thorough. Dr. Reed did a fantastic job providing age appropriate explanations of the procedures to the children, while clearly relaying findings to the adults in the room. We would highly recommend Curts & Reed Optometry to other families!

Thanks DR. REED, my new glasses are amazing. Thanks for taking the time to explain everything to me where I could understand and for going above and beyond to get me the eye glasses that make me see again. You guys are the absolute BEST!!!!
I’ve never mer a doctor who was so kind and patient for all my questions. He never once rushed me. He’s amazing and 2 blocks from home. I’ll definitely be returning.

Curts & Reed Optometry is THE place to go for your eye care and eye health needs. I had an appointment with Dr. Reed and he was personable, kind, and extremely helpful in getting my new pair of glasses with progressive lenses. Additionally, I loved the selection of name brand glasses that were at the store (I picked out a pair of Polo frames for myself).
Dr. Reed took time to explain to me my eye insurance benefits and helped to ensure that I was maximizing the use of my benefits while I went through the processes of the eye exam and picking out lenses and frames for my new pair of glasses.
