Was attempted to be intimidated by bouncer and manager and forced to leave due to conversation regarding political views. DISCRIMINATION. Do not support this unfortunate business.

Pretty good place for an Irish bar. It is a little dark inside but the service was good. Food was good, I got the Shepard's pie, and I thought it was pretty reasonably priced. Not too crowded which was nice but I came in the afternoon for lunch. A nice place to go to over the winter but might not come to over the summer because of the dark interior.

We ordered the fish and chips and Shepard pie for take out. The fish smelled and tasted extremely fishy, to the point we couldn't even eat it. The french fries were equally as bad and tasted like we were eating a salt block. My toddler wouldn't even eat them and all he eats is fries. The Shepard's pie looked and tasted like something you would get out of a Campbell's soup can. I actually think Campbell's would have been better. It was very runny and had no flavor. All in all my husband and I would not recommend this place. We understand that takeout is not the same as eating in a restaurant but

We were in search of a bar in the Back Bay with a lively atmosphere and were really struggling to find something, until we came across Solas Irish Pub. We were able to get a table on the 2nd floor where a loud crowd of mixed ages was mainly focused on the Red Sox baseball game being broadcast on the television. I ordered a Pineapple High Noon Hard Seltzer, which was my favorite of the flavors by that brand, and sat back to people-watch.

Solas was a basic, casual pub that certainly could attract and accommodate a large group. It provided us with some excitement for a bit, while the rest of the

Had chips and a pint as a mid-afternoon break from shopping in the area. The wait staff was excellent, knew their taps very well and the service was spot-on even though we were not having a full meal. Great place for a quick pint or to park yourself for a while.

Good little place. Small bar seats 12-15. Tables all around. Good selection of about 10 beers son tap and a full bar. Food looks great though I didn't have anything. Staff super friendly. A few TVs. I mean, honestly, what else do you really need?

The food was ok - We ordered 2 pitchers of drinks and there was zero alcohol in them. These drinks were cucumber Pineapple and blueberry lemonade. Filled with ice and again, zero alcohol. We spent well over $80 on those drinks and the same amount on food. Never go here. For $200 meal - it's was meh.

They were surprisingly busy on a Wednesday night. My husband wanted to get food pass 10pm and mostly everything is closed around that time other than bars. Turnt out he's in love with their chicken tenders and he finished them all. Their clam chowder is thick and creamy which I had noting to complain about. Their pudding is sweet with this awesome Carmel taste. The ball on top of the pudding isn't ice cream, it's whipped cream.

My boyfriend and I attempted to dine here 3 times. The first time we did we were sat at a table and after 25 minutes left after there was no service. The second time, we sat bar, the service was good. Tonight we tried again hoping it would be positive. Tonight, we were seated promptly, however waited 30 minutes. Everyone around us was served drinks and apps, but nobody came to our table. We don't recommend this pub. Move to a new bar, save your time because they'll waste yours at Solas.

I spent my birthday in Boston with my daughter and son-in-law. He had been to your place for drinks but not for dining. We enjoyed fish and chips and shepherd's pie for lunch. It was so delicious I can't stop telling everyone about it. Thank you for making my birthday extra special!! We're from the UK originally so had these foods growing up!! They were just like home!! You'll see us again for sure on a future visit.

We were looking for a place close to our hotel for dinner, and were pleasantly surprised by the menu offerings at Solas—more than just typical pub food. My chopped salad was delicious, and my husband’s Reuben and fries were amazing. We skipped the drinks this time so can’t speak on those.
We sat outside on the patio area which was loud but charming. Our waitress was nice but perhaps was pulling double duty in a couple different sections as she was MIA for a while—not a big deal as we were not in a rush.
Good restaurant in a very convenient location, and well-priced for the city.

Fantastic Irish pub and restaurant. You are always welcomed with a warm smile! Besides having such a lovely staff team, the food is delicious. I recommend the lobster roll, the Dublin Dog, the onion soup and Shepard's pie.

I went here on a trip to Boston with friends. I absolutely loved the food and the environment. Our server was so kind and welcoming. She gave us great tips and recommendations. The drinks were also very good. I had the falafel naandwich and it tasted amazing with so much flavor! We were just visiting for the weekend from NJ, but if I’m ever in town again I’d love to go back.

Good vibes here. Just a classic Irish pub... the Guinness was poured perfectly and the hot dog was really good. The hot dog was like $14 which is a little much for a bar snack but they were very filling and the fries were delicious. This restaurant had everything we were looking for.

We stopped in for a nightcap, which ended up being a Jack's Abbey ale, and a shot of Bailey's. It wasn't so much an Irish Pub as a sports bar with TVs and rock music from the 80s blasting. We would have enjoyed Irish beers on draught and a larger selection of Irish whiskies with actual Irish music playing.

Where do I begin. Beer is cold fresh and nice selection. Very clean! The food, amazing. Seriously, get the Brussels sprouts. I know that’s somewhat of a commonly perceived bad food item. If there is any way to rectify this disastrous perception, Solas has the solution. Their Brussels sprouts are delish, meaty, and complemented with a wonderful citrus sauce that makes me wish I discovered these jewels of happiness so much earlier in my life. The burger, outstanding. Just when I thought I’ve had every “best burger” possible, they’ve shattered my perception. If there is any pub you should

Came to Solas for drinks and a light lunch on Friday. The place is super cute, warm, friendly and great staff. We had drinks and we ordered a bunch of appetizers including the short rib tots, pretzels and house made chips with spicy aioli.
Everything was really good, but the tots were things dreams are made of! We can't wait to go back. Great spot to relax and have a pint.

Exploring one of the most walkable cities in the United States certainly builds up an appetite. Thank goodness for the delicious food at Solas to kill those hanger pains! Located in the beautiful Lenox Hotel on Boylston street, my party of 3 and I decided to eat here for lunch after a morning of touring the Back Bay area. This charming Irish pub had a nice blend of modern aesthetics paired with a cozy Irish pub feel. We were quickly greeted and seated upon arrival. We opted to take advantage of the sidewalk seating to facilitate social distancing. It was actually perfect because it gave us the

Definitely a great place on famous Boylston street, one of the best pints of Guinness in the city too. Visited twice in the last few weeks.. They operate very clean with Covid-19. Onion soup loaded with melted cheese is a must. I enjoyed every spoonful with bild flavors well blended. Chicken quesadilla came filled with big chunks of chicken.

Inside the lenox hotel this a great spot to hit up on a Saturday day drinking day with a squad. Service was great, tag teamed by a great server and very friendly manager.

I was a little apprehensive trying out Solas. I don't really like pubs because nothing seems special about them and the food screams 'typical bar food'.

Food: I ordered the Lobster Roll and swapped the fries for broccoli. Surprisingly, the lobster roll was good. I say 'surprisingly' because I don't consider lobster roll as bar food, but Solas executed this well. I do wish that there were bigger chunks of lobster offered in the roll. Lastly, the broccoli flavorless and a little overcooked (mushy). - 3 stars

Service: Nothing spectacular here. The waitress was attentive

Small, loud, cramped. Amazing. Best pour of Guinness I've had in years. Large and delicious fish and chips. Felt like I was in Dublin everything was so good. Nice service as well. Not the place for a quiet conversation, but great for an after work drink or an outstanding meal. Nice mix of folks. Eat and drink here.
