Services
Zialena Winery has roots in Geyserville dating back to the early 1900's when Giuseppe Mazzoni immigrated from Carrara, Italy. Joining the Italian Swiss Colony, he became a grape farmer and winemaker. His sons, Fred and Jim, carried on the tradition and produced wine in the Dr. Pierces barn on Highway 101 for many years until the winemaking operation closed in the 1970's.
The Zialena winemaking style can best be described as minimalist and traditional, as we encourage the fruit to express itself with little intervention from the winemaker. All of our grapes are hand sorted and gravity fed into small concrete tanks where native fermentations begin when the time is right.

We are located at 21112 River Road in Geyserville, CA 95441. The winery sits on a 120 acre property that has been in the Mazzoni family for nearly a century. Most of the grapes for Zialena's wines are sourced from our estate. Sitting on the Alexander Valley floor near the Russian River, Zialena offers views of nearby mountainsides dotted with oak trees.
Our wines are handcrafted, limited production, and not distributed anywhere but our Tasting and Hospitality center in Alexander Valley. Members of our wine club family enjoy access and invitation to Member's only wines, facilities and private events. Relax in our wine library or private patio for your complimentary tastings or book an appointment for private tours.

Zialena doesn't disappoint -- consistently tasty food-friendly balanced wines.

Although not tasted today, Zialena makes one of the few Sauv Blancs that I actually enjoy. That said, Zin & Cab are the mainstays of this family winery.

Stop in when you can (appointment required)

What a fantastic winery! The grounds and tasting room are beautiful, modern and inviting. Vince is a compendium of knowledge, both Zialena's wines and the winemaking process in general. He is super friendly, generous and really makes the tasting a fun process. Last but not least, the wine...WOW. There wasn't a single wine I didn't enjoy! Starting with the Sauvignon Blanc, not usually my favorite varietal, but this was crisp, clean, with notes of citrus, melon and a hint of rosemary with a subtle buttery finish. There is no way I could pick just one wine, jammy zins, bold chewy cabs

This place is absolutely gorgeous! The staff Reece and Vince are awesome, knowledgeable, warm and friendly. The Mazzoni family are equally as wonderful to guests and staff. They have an amazing selection of wines to taste while sitting outside surrounded by vineyards. You can taste the care and love that Mark puts into each high quality wine. My favorites are the Rosé, Capella and Reserve Zinfandel. I celebrated my birthday here last week. Zialena is one of my top favorite wineries to enjoy and recommend. There are so many in the valley, be sure put this at the top of your list to visit. You will

This was my first winery experience and I thoroughly enjoyed. We got a tour of the facility and tried some amazing wines. The reason why I give 5 starts is because the hostess Jane was amazing!! Gave great recommendations and followed up regarding everything. If you want a quaint winery experience please visit Zialena's and ask for Jane. You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful views and amazing wine!! We came here based on a recommendation from another tasting room, coupled with all the 5 star reviews. Zialena definitely earned all 5 stars! Every wine we tasted was amazing. The views were amazing. The staff was amazing. The background and history was so interesting and Vince did a wonderful job of sharing the details of the history as well as the details of each wine. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful views during the tasting.
Even though this was the first Winery we visited, we joined the wine club and it remained our absolute favorite throughout the

Super cute winery/scenery located in the northern end of Sonoma county. Favorite take away was the setting of the tasting room being set quite literally in the middle of their own vineyards so anywhere you turn you see what you're drinking.

Not the biggest winery so don't expect to bring 20+ people and fit comfortably. 4 groups of 4, I believe would max their staff out.

This was my first visit to Zialena and I will definitely be going back. I loved the Rose' of Sangiovese and the 2014 Zin. I usually find Rose' to he very tart but this was smooth and slightly sweet not tart. The staff was very personable and even let me try the 2019 water...lol.

We came here based upon the recommendation of another tasting room manager - greeted upon arrival by one of the owners, Lisa, who made the tasting truly exceptional - she and her brother run a true family vineyard that produces exceptional wines in a stunning setting (the architecture is simply beautiful)

World class wines in a state of the art facility owned and run by one of Sonoma County's most distinguished wine families? Yes, please.

Honestly, it's worth it just to see the property. But the fact that the wines are of the utmost quality and beautifully capture the terroir of the region makes this winery a must-stop on anyone's Sonoma tour.

We joined the wine club after our second sip of the Reserve Zin. And the Cab will floor you.

This joint is epic.

This place was just fun and their history and wines made for a good story I'd love to write about someday. If you're looking for 3rd and 4th generation wine makers who's family has been here since before the turn of the century, this place is for you. (And for you millennials, that would not be this past century, the one prior.)

As the wine pourers gave us the family history, he mentioned how the folks hanging around the wine tasting room were from the family and the tall guy with them was the wine maker standing behind us. This was not just cool but it turned out that everyone
