The friendly staff and knowledge trainers make it a happy place. I typically hate gyms, but I really like this place; classes with real folks and cheerful trainers. Convenient location, easy to get to, lots of parking, the price is right, and a casual bunch of people. First place I've looked forward to actually going to get a workout in.

I am loving my PT with Devin at CrossFit San Jose! I haven't done any of the classes yet, but I have seen some live, and they look great too. The first time I walked into this gym, I didn't feel lost. And this is because everyone is real friendly and welcoming. Someone asked me right away how they could help me. Every time since that I have walked in and looked around, someone has offered to help me, and/ or I see my trainer. It's a big deal! I was really nervous to try CrossFit! It looked difficult to me and scary lol. But it is so awesome to go to a gym and not feel like an outsider

I love this gym! Everyone is welcoming. I had a couple surgeries so they always adapt the workouts for me. I have tried other gyms but this one is the best and the trainers are very knowledgeable.

I joined in Aug 2017 and it's been the best "gym" experience I've ever had. The coaches are terrific -- will take all the time necessary to ensure you are doing things right. The other members are friendly and often work to help each other out. The "box" is huge so there is always plenty of room to get your work done. The workouts can be tough, but you always have scaled options, but you will see progress quickly and often. Great place to stay or get in shape -- if you're committed and disciplined.

Had an awsome experience here. Huge facility with sufficient number of equipments. All coaches were awesome. This was my first crossfit experience which continued for about 18 months. The best part is people talk here. I felt everyone was friendly and was willing to help and share their knowledge. This really helps when you are getting started. There are multiple events throughout the year at the gym but they usually don't overlap with the regular workout days/hours. These are fun and good way to socialize and build community. There are plenty of parking spots available.

Very welcoming box. Only downside is they were out of shirts! Haha. Will definitely come back when I'm in town. Thanks again!

Awesome instructors and a super supportive community! Was completely new to crossfit when I joined and the elements introductory course made it much less intimidating. Go try it out!

Lance and his team of trainers are fantastic. I've never been very good about exercising, and after a knee injury and resulting weight gain, my physical condition went downhill. After about a month at Crossfit San Jose, I'm already losing inches and feeling better. The coaches are attentive and quite diligent about helping me modify movements in the WODs to protect my knee as I gain strength and mobility. What a friendly, encouraging environment to make a life change in!

I used to have a personal trainer who is pretty hard core about his workouts (he is a body builder and a competitive Muay Thai fighter). I was always sore after each daily session and loved it. Then I moved out of town, so I had to find another workout routine. CFSJ was recommended to me by a co-worker but I had reservations - too competitive and intimidating. However, I decided to join anyway because my interim cardio training at the gym was getting way too boring. The CFSJ owners were very welcoming and responsive to my concerns and questions. I was also pleasantly surprised at how knowledgable

The Sunday morning workout is very fun and challenging. I am always intimidated by a CrossFit workout, but am especially so when they involve the Olympic style weight lifting. The Sunday 830 class is very challenging but is not focused on the skilled weightlifting. We started with a warmup involving rowing machines and body weight exercised. We then did some medicine ball work followed by box jumps, wall balls, and jump rope. Nothing I couldn't do but still quite challenging. Also, this gym has such a laid back feel. I highly recommend this gym, particularly the Sunday 830 class!

Crossfit San Jose offers a great Boot Camp program for all ages and abilities. For this 61 yo, the 6AM workout on MWF is now the way to meet the day. The workout is always different starting with a 15 m stretching routine which may include running or rowing, even jump rope. This is followed by a 15 m skill period where we're challenged with both strength and core exercises. The workout of the day is between 16 - 20 m and changes every meeting.

The staff encourages you, but you set the pace. What I find amazing is that the fee structure is much the same for Boot Camp programs in the area

It has been a couple of years since I have tried CrossFit, but I do remember the immediate results of my 4 sessions from that time. Not sure why I stopped, but I'm back.

I've worked out with CFSJ once and feel it. Even with weight training sessions with my pt and having just run my first half marathon, my CrossFit session touched quite a few spots that have not been worked out in a while. This workout will become part of my regiment as I prepare for an obstacle course coming up in a few months.

I was probably the least athletic and slowest person there, but I did what I could and was

Not many people remember the exact day they started crossfit, but I do. February 5th 2012. Not only do I remember it, but most Americans do. This was the day Super Bowl 46 was played, Patriots v Giants. I have an annual bet with a friend but for some reason that year instead of money my friend wanted my stake to be trying crossfit out for a few weeks. Well after a dropped Rob Gronkowski winning TD I was enrolled in elements at Crossfit San Jose.

So i picked CFSJ because the reviews were all glowing, but more because its half a block away from my office. I figured I could knock out work and jazzercise

Ever since I discovered crossfit, my body has completely transformed and it has changed my life. I started out at a couple of different places that my boyfriend and friends had been to, but they always made me feel uncomfortable because I was just starting out and didn't know all of the exercises. Once I found this place, I finally found my grove and in am super happy with the results! They have all kinds of clientele from the very modest beginner to the super high level expert "crossfitters". If you're just starting out this is the place to go.

I just enrolled in CFSJ's Elements program, which is an introductory program to ensure that people new to the program know how it works and how the exercises are done. (Other cross fit facilities will just throw you in the regular classes after a day or couple days of basic training, and many end up injuring themselves -- as I did at a another facility.) I recommend this Cross Fit facility precisely because they have this program and they are overall very engaged and client-centered.

The trainer for my Elements group, Boris, is personable, clear, and a natural teacher. The facility itself

Crossfit San Jose makes working out easy and fun. Before Crossfit, I would wander around my gym, unsure of what I was muscle group I was going to workout. I always spent 1-2 hours working out, but left without feeling (or seeing) the benefits.

My wife was recommended to try Crossfit from a friend, and with the help of Yelp, we located Crossfit San Jose. Although there were many Crossfits to choose from, we pick CFSJ because of the positive reviews, and have been loyal members since 06/2010. The trainers are knowledgeable and approachable, the members are kind and motivating, and an "Elite

This place rocks. Seriously, if you are interested in Crossfit or changing your life through fitness, I couldn't recommend a better place. Assuming you know a little bit about Xfit, I will try to keep this review about this box specifically.

I've been a member of Crossfit San Jose since September 2010. I started at their original location on Dell Avenue where, to be honest, was a bit cramped. The trainers and people were awesome but with new membership, they were simply running out of space. Ownership promptly responded by acquiring a much larger facility a half mile away (still on Dell

I love this gym. My friends drug me here one day and I am still going. Been a member since June 2009 and I have enjoyed every minute of it, when I am done with the workout that is.

I like the atmosphere here, laid back trainers that motivate without being in your face like big name gyms.

Recently moved to a new, larger location. Things just keep getting better!

When I was trying to decide whether or not to join CrossFit San Jose, I came to Yelp to see whether there were any reviews, and there weren't. Weak. Now that I've joined, I get to write the first review of CFSJ to shed some light on this place, and help future potential clients make an informed decision. :)

I really dig it here. It's got a great vibe. Lots of energetic, friendly people, and the clientele ranges from extremely fit (think firemen-calendar-type material) to us mere mortals who can barely lift a 16KG kettlebell and who can barely do 20 pullups even WITH the largest
