& he 1000% meant it. In the last 4 months I've worked with mike, I not only completed a life goal of stepping on stage as a competitor but I'm the healthiest as well.

I started working with Mike around September of 2019 only with nutrition and working out during 2020. While he helped me to break my plateau, and learn more in depth about nutrition, he has also been working with me on changing body composition and building muscle.
He is extremely knowledgeable in both areas, Training&coaching and nutrition. You never get bored while working out since he always finds ways to be original and give you variety of workouts

Beginning of this year I made a personal goal of mine to gain weight and start going to the gym to look better. This is my second session with Mike and he has changed the way I look at food and exercise. Though I have been lifting for years Mike took the time to build a program that fit me and my schedule. He taught me about food so that what I ate would benefit my body and was patient with me when I wasn't as faithful to the program as I should have been. Mike ultimate goal was to get me to a place where I could continue to be successful even if we didn't continue together. I travel 50% of the time for work - so with the current lockdown, I thought it'd be good to utilize my time being local to work with a trainer. I contacted Mike based on online reviews and mutual connections, and am glad I did.
Mike taught me about portion control and nutrition, and with a disciplined cadence of food intake - especially before working out, I find that the timing and level of my energy is optimized. I was able to lift heavier.
Mike also coached me with new exercises, and helped with achieving efficiency - I was able to lift just 3 days a week and maintain consistent results.

Mike is awesome!!! Highly highly recommend. I just moved out of the area, but I trained with Mike for the past 5 years and learned so much. Very sad to lose him as a trainer as I can honestly say I looked forward to every session. The biggest aspect that differentiated Mike from other trainers I had previously is how well he really listens to your unique fitness goals from day one, and his wholistic approach to training. Not only does he talk you through techniques to of course the exercise and weight training side of getting in shape, but he is very knowledgeable about nutrition and food as well

I contacted Mike after being dared by friends to do a show. I had 2 1/2 weeks to cut and this was our results. It was my first bodybuilding show and we took second place. If you're looking for bodybuilding, general fitness, strength and conditioning he can and will meet any goal you need. Mike's programming is not some cookie cutter BS like 99% of the coaches out there. His programming is personalized so you know he's taking care of you.

About near the end of 2019, I've searched constantly for a prep coach that's local in the San Jose area, and I've happened to cross Mike's IG page (@shmockey). I was aiming for Spectrum Fitness Governors cup on March 28, doing both classic physique and open bodybuilding. I can tell you first thing off the bat, Mike knows what's he dealing with. I have not done much personal training and coaching before but from my limited experience, Mike exceeded my wife's and my expectations tenfold. We wanted to sign up for a crash diet and fitness plan for a few weeks before our vacation but after 3 weeks of tandem training with Mike, we want to sign up for more. He pushed/pushes us past what we thought was possible but in an encouraging way. He takes our limitations into consideration and custom fits our workouts to maximize the benefit. This is about my second year training with Mike, he is wonderful! I really never thought I would achieve my goals but because of his help I made it. I'm beyond happy and confident because of my transformation. Not only is he flexible with his schedule for you but he will do anything to help you be happy with your process. Mike in my opinion one of the best trainers in San Jose! He has helped me transform my body and really understand diet and nutrition! If you're looking for results look no more he'll get you there! As a personal trainer myself I see many "trainers" that pretty much are there just to take your money and run. Mike was there every step of the way until I killed my goal!!!
