Man it's really hard to write this review, but I think it's necessary.
Point blank, Dr. Lam is the best orthodontist I've been to, and the level of attention he gives is second to none. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.
Despite how good Dr. Lam is, I can't with good conscience recommend Embarcadero Dentistry to anyone. I've never had a single positive experience with the receptionists. Most calls are greeted with a "yeah, hold on -- *click* and hold for ~5 mins". It's incredibly frustrating and unapologetic. You can't get a response to an email, despite the urgency of the matter or the

Recommended by a friend and went through quite a few reviews before coming in. It's been a couple of years and I am still glad that I made that decision. It's a busy place ( which is a good sign), but never felt rushed at all. Dr. Chris Olsen has been great from day one, friendly, professional and funny at right time. If you are looking for a dentist in the city, I'd recommend giving this office a try. I hope you'll feel the same way 🌟👍🏼🤩.

I don't normally write reviews, but I have to let others know about my frustration.
I went in and saw Dr. Prabhakar, and had to have a root canal. I was still in pain after that root canal (it was a different tooth) and my concerns were completely ignored, and she kept saying you shouldn't be in pain if the nerve is dead. It turns out, after I went to go see a different dentist, I needed a crown put on the other tooth.
When I went in to get a crown put on after the root canal, I expressed concern over an inflamed gum. This was brushed off as not an issue. Turns out, I had an infection in the

All 7 of my cavity fillings fell off within 1 year (i took really good care of my teeth as I was extremely scared to have to go to dentist again). Dr. Han was my dentist. We also agreed that he would take 4 wisdom teeth out. He only managed to take 2 out and left 2/3 of my third wisdom tooth in there. I had to repeat the surgery with another doctor. So with fillings falling off and unsuccessful surgery, I would give it 0 instead of 1 star

Based on a slew of positive yelp reviews, I decided to see Dr. Velasquez myself. With many items in San Francisco, the highest yelp ratings sometime cause a negative effect in quality due to the high increase of customers. This is absolutely not the case. The office, staff, and Dr. Velasquez himself all provided an experience as described by the multitude of positive reviews found on goole. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

My experience with Dr. Hasse and the staff at Embarcadero Dentistry was fantastic. The office and staff were very nice, and everything was efficient and timely.

I was referred to Dr. Hasse by a friend's colleague, and found him to be very personable, honest, and excellent at his work (he's been a dentist for a long time!). He was very nice and didn't try to sell me on doing any extra work like some dentists do. I will be going back to him as long as I live in SF!

I have been going here for years and i wouldn't go anyplace else! The entire staff is absolutely phenomenal! A very special thanks goes to Dr. Prabhakar who came in on her day off into the city during Super Bowl weekend fought through a crowded city to fix my tooth and get me out of the extreme pain i was in. I couldn't ask for better people! I'd come from anywhere in the world to go to this office!

I have been seeing Dr. Hasse for about three years. I always see him, never a colleague. It is a large shared office with semi-private exam spaces, but that's not something I'm bothered by. The exam spaces have seated visual privacy as apposed to an office like Western Dental that have a large open area. It's certainly a busy office but I've never had to wait for long periods of time to complete my exam.

Dr. Hasse always takes time to make conversation and has consistently exhibited genuine interest in my dental health and overall well being. Several times I asked him a question

Dr. Hasse is the best Dentist there is. I moved out of the city and tried other dentists but ended up going straight back to Dr. Hasse because I knew I would get the best work done and the best price from him. He's honest, straightforward, and he is extremely knowledgeable and very talented. It feels so good to know I'm in good hands. Thank you Dr. Hasse!

Dr. Hasse is a great dentist! I tried two other dentists in San Francisco before going to him. The other two (Dr. Vo at Esthetics Dental and Mouhannad Almajdalani, DDS) were absolutely terrible compared to Dr. Hasse. Dr. Hasse has great bedside manner and seems to really care about your dental health. So many dentists these days are salesmen, but not Dr. Hasse--he is completely trustworthy. Highly recommended!

Love this guy! Been going to him for about 10 yrs and he actually makes going to the dentist ok. He tells it like it is, and does great dental work. Very easy to talk to and get answers from. I would recommend him to all who want a great dentist. Thanks Dr. Hasse!

I've had alot of dental work done over the years, and having a dad, brother, uncles, and cousins in the business, I feel fairly confident that Dr. Hasse is one of the best dentists around.

Having a root canal isn't a walk in the park, but he talked me through the process, and commented during each step of the procedure--I felt really at ease (as much as one can be having a root canal!), and the outcome was very well.

I gave him 5 stars, but the teeth cleaning was good, but not the best I've had. Everything else far exceeded expectations, so I just couldnt strip him of that last

I always thought of Dr. Hasse as a 5-star dentist: gentle, non-invasive treatment. But I found over several years that he was often not in the office when I arrived and I was treated by a colleague instead. This happened at least three times over 4 years -- without any notification.

I also realized that my teeth weren't being cleaned. Dr. Hasse did a thorough exam and always told me things looked good, but aside from a a minute or two with the electric scaler there was no cleaning.

I finally realized I could do better.

Unlucky with teeth, lucky with dentists -- that's me.

I was so spoiled by my fabulous dentist in LA that I stuck with him even for the ten-year period I was living in Europe, Asia, and NYC (every yearly trip home included a visit to his office). By the time he retired I was living in SF. Boy, did I dread trying a new dentist!
Fortunately my friend Candy -- also from LA and living here now -- knew about Dr. Hasse and suggested I go to him.

Super-convenient location, just a couple minutes walk from Embarcadero BART/MUNI.

I've seen Dr. Hasse for two or three checkups and one unscheduled

Here is the deal.

I really hate going to dentists, but Dr. Hasse changed that for me.

He was very friendly and efficient. This was my first time seeing him, and he went straight to work. I have had bad luck with dentists in the past always trying to sell me this or get me to try that...not here.

I can actually say, this was a very pleasurable dentist experience. Thanks Dr. Hasse!

I found Dr. Hasse on Yelp - how fortunate!

I really really really (and at the risk of being repetitive) really love Dr. Hasse!!!

I have a semi- sensitive mouth and he is so gentle.

Dr. Hasse has twice repaired dental work that I had done by a childhood dentist. Both times he caught the issue before it escalated into a serious code red dental emergency and he was able to make the repairs within literally 10 minutes and with little (and once with NO) Novocaine.

Dr. Hasse's abilities are unmatched by any dentist that I have ever had - even the dentist that I went to in College who I raved

I scheduled an appointment with this dentist by calling the phone number. I was given a date 4 weeks later and when I got there, I was told that they had no record of the call.

Now they asked me to make another appointment and call the doctor's appointment again to figure out what had happened. It was not very professional experience on the whole and would not recommend this place.

Dr. Hasse is great, been going for a couple of years now, and really like him. He actually does the cleaning, not a tech, which is great! I go in the am before work, but if you work downtown, it's a great location, and he has some Sat appts too!

The will validate in the Embarcadero parking garage if you drive there, it's $4/hr.

I do wish they had digital x-rays like my last dentist, and a more computerized system for records, but they seem to get things done just fine.

Nice guy.

If you're looking for a good dentist that isn't trying to rip you off with needless dental work and takes and hour and a half to clean your teeth then Dr. Hasse is for you.

I'm always a little nervous to go to the dentist, even for a cleaning but Dr. Hasse is so calming and doesn't waste time getting things all taken care of so you can be off to the rest of your day. He also offers great advice on the best way to clean your teeth so you won't have to worry too much about cavities.

Plus, he checks your insurance to make sure what you need to have done is covered

I must say Dr. Hasse is the best dentist I had so far and I am bummed that my insurance is not covered by him anymore. Hopefully Dr. Harris is as good.

Seriously good dentist.

Always a pleasant experience. He is such a nice guy and very personable and interesting. Travels a lot , always going to or coming from somewhere cool. Never had to wait, he is very efficient, always out within the hour. He doesn't berate me too badly when I haven't been flossing as regularly as I should but subtly tells me to floss regularly. Never tells you you need work when you don't , if anything I think he undersells.

I was referred to Dr. Hasse by friend years ago and since then I have referred several of my friends and everyone raves.

Not only do I hate going to the dentist, but I usually hate my dentists personally. Not so with Dr. Hasse. He pulled a wisdom tooth for me this morning, and I literally did not feel any pain, not even with the novacaine b/c of some vibrating device he has attached to the needle that distracts you. I actually didn't even realize that he had pulled the tooth. He told me that he was all done, and I didn't initally believe him b/c I didn't feel anything.

There was absolutely no wait getting into the appointment; the nitrous was fresh and copius; he gave me vikatins right there
