Dr. Alison Overley was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS degree in Biology from the University of Tennessee. She went on to graduate Cum Laude from the University of Alabama, Birmingham College of Optometry. While obtaining her OD degree, she completed rotations through the VA Hospital and the Children's Hospital of Birmingham.
Dr. Overley is a member of the Kentucky Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She has also been an examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. She participates in the charity program, Kentucky Vision Project. Dr. Overley is married to Dr. Todd Overley, a Lexington native and they have two daughters.

Dr. Alison Overley performs comprehensive eye exams for adults and children. She also treats pink eye, glaucoma, removes foreign bodies and co-manages ocular surgeries.

My first time going to Kentucky Family Eyecare was an awesome experience. The staff and Dr. Overlay were very nice, kind and considerate. They understood my financial situation and were very gracious about it and helped me to pick the best frames and lenses. I highly recommend them for your eye care needs.

Dr. Overley did a wonderful job with my 4 year old's preschool exam. Dr. Overley and the staff were very patient with him. I also seen her a couple months ago because I ran out of contacts. She got me in the very next day. I ordered glasses that day and recieved them extremely quickly. I would recommend her for both adults and children.

The staff up front were incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful for the entire visit. There was no wait time whatsoever. Once I got finished with my paperwork, they called me back to an exam room. They were extremely fast and efficient. Dr. Overley herself was very sweet and made me feel comfortable during the visit. She was thorough when doing my eye exam and she didn't rush through the visit. 10/10 I would definitely recommend their office!
