Dr. Sonu Kakar, founder of our practice, attended the University of Virginia. He received his Dental Degree from the School of Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.

One of the best dentist offices in the area! The staff are very pleasant and work great with kids. Procedures are explained in detail and patients are made to feel comfortable. If you have kids who are not good with the dentist, try this place! his so patience with kids I really loved the service they give to my son and I.

They don’t allow parents in the back room when they put your child under any type of sedation to do procedures or even x-rays. As someone who’s child has had physical trauma in the past and is not comfortable around strangers without me under any circumstances, this was honestly pretty concerning to me. I’m not sure what parent would feel comfortable allowing their child to be sedated without them.

Dr. Kakar was amazing with my 3.5 year old. It was her first cleaning, so she was nervous, but he was so friendly and patient with her. She got her cleaning without any issues and told me when we left that she is excited to see him again! DEFINITELY recommend Dr. Kakar to any parents with a little one who needs a dentist.

Dr. Kakar is absolutely the BEST! We came here for a second opinion and are so glad we did. He put my fears at ease. He was very thorough in explaining every detail of my son's treatment plan and procedure. The office staff is expedient and transparent about the billing process. I was happy to get a consult and a procedure appointment very easily and quickly. We are most impressed by Dr. Kakar's manner with my anxious child, and his proven experience. We love Dr. Kakar and feel so comfortable with him.

We had a really good experience with Dr Kakar & his staff! My kids were absolute monsters but the doctor, nurse & reception staff were all very understanding & helpful! They called us in at our exact appointment time and got us in and out of the office in record time! They gave me a lot of great information that I was not aware of.

This pediatric dental office has really truly helped my children so much. As a mother of four I have all of my children in their practice. When I first came here several years ago, my oldest two had so many cavities, but with the guidance and preventative treatments they offer my youngest two are golden and hardly need anything done at their visits. As a physician, I appreciate the on-site anesthesia capabilities to help my kids through the harder procedures (when we first came my oldest had so many cavities). Great job and our whole family appreciates you!!

Unbelievable what a rip off this office is! Would not give us our daughter’s x-rays. After practically begging we were told they would after we paid an additional 55.00 but would take 2 weeks to get! Also said we had to pay over $800 (only cash) for her anesthesia up front. Our insurance would cover but they wouldn’t submit. Found out at another pediatric dentist our total cost for everything would only be $600! Office was dark and drab & nothing looked child friendly. Never again!! Children need bright & friendly!!

I recently started bringing my children to see Dr. Kakar and it honestly was the best decision I have made!
I have 5 children and 2 of them have horrible anxiety when it comes to the dentist because of their previous dentist! The moment we walked in the building staff was so friendly and welcoming.
Dr. Kakar was the kindest most caring dentist I have ever meet. My kids all came out with smiling faces and NOT ONE TEAR!!!! To me that means the world.
