My brother had been there for 4 and half years. when he was admitted there he was bedridden, half delirious, screaming and other things. He was pretty bad off. I had even went to the funeral home thats' how bad he was. But the nurses and staff had done a remarkable thing and got him medically fit. He got color to him,a leg to walk on and he was up and about. They didn't treat him like a kid. They treated him like an equal person. Cures don't happen overnight it takes time. I think granite city nursing rehab is remarkable place. I didn't have any services planned when he died but the nursing home

My husbands step father is a patient here and he has been taken great care of by the staff. I have to say that the CNA Lynne is one of the best, she goes above and beyond when asked to do things for the residents. The maintance man Mike even does the little extras to help make the residents feel at home. Dietary dept. gives many choices and at times even goes out of the way to make special items that makes the residents feel special.

I stay here for rehab learning to walk again. The staff is very nice willing to help we needed. Staff is polite and caring. And Pam who runs it is very concerned for the well being of the staff and residents. When a situation arises she is on it.

I went in for a interview and the residents looks real sad and miserable. They don’t do nothing but sit around the nurses station with no activities to do. I wouldn’t even want to work there… Like nothing no movie time, arts & crafts, grooming day.. The residents need extreme personal hygiene care.

Over the past year, during the pandemic, Granite City Nursing and Rehabilitation has taken very good care of my mother. They have made sure she has the appropriate equipment needed for her needs with excellent nursing care. Vivian the wound care nurse is Wonderful! I am very thankful for the care she has received.

I've delivered pizza they are quite a bit and every time the people are very unpleasant they talk about their patients that they are supposed to be caring for like dogs every now and then and I have sat and watched a lady try to get out for a solid 10 minutes before the people Came to get their food I have also seen patients be dropped off in the kauri door between the building and the outside entrance and just be left there It seems like a terrible place I would never want to stay I would rather my child kill me then put me in a home like that

This is the most horrible place I have ever seen! I wouldn’t take a dog there to be taken care of. My sister had a fall in December and was released to their facility in January, upon her discharge in the records that I obtained from them they say the fracture of her school was on the right side when in fact it was on the left they did not give her any of the medications that she is supposed to be taking prescribed by her medical doctor while she was in her. She was supposed to go there for her to continue physical therapy and never received one second of therapy. They were very rude when confronted

My father was transferred to this GOD awful place for Rehab. When he left the hospital he was able to walk up and down the corridors with assistance. This place did no rehab, didn't care if he ate, left him in the bed. 12 days later he was rushed back to the Hospital with bedsores, barely weighting 130 pounds and all skin and bones. He could not stand without help. Some Rehab. My father passed away 9/15 thanks to these incompetent people. They first thing they asked my mother was "how much money you got in your bank account?".

Staff does not care about the patients, dietary don't care how they serve their food or how clean their kitchen is. The DON is a alcoholic and can care less about what goes on in the facility. The administrator acts like he care but don't. Beware if you consider working here if you are African American, they are racist. Monica in Human Resources is the only one who tries to follow policy, everyone else don't care about the residents, they are only there for a paycheck especially Katrina. A bunch of dumb nurses who needs to go back to school. The place needs to be shut down, it's infested with rats

This place is a joke. My Great Grandmother was there for 2 weeks. She was just there for physical therapy. In that time the nurses there refused to treat her wounds the way the doctors ordered, mixed up her medication with the medication of the person she shared a room with, argued with my mother and grandmother about how to treat her, and worse of all failed to realize the pneumonia that was building up in her lungs. And when they finally realized they failed to act. Thanks to this nursing home my great grandmother died. Never send anyone you care about to this nursing home!
