Maine's first half-season all girls' summer camp, Fernwood Cove, provides today's girl with the ultimate sleep away camp experience. Campers gain valuable 21st Century Skills through our traditional 3 week residential camp program. Communication, collaboration, and creative thinking are integrated into bunk life and over sixty instructional activities.

Services
Fernwood Cove is a premier overnight camp for girls in Maine with a focus on age-appropriate skill development and personal growth. An intentional program, inclusive community, and supportive staff creates a unique opportunity for girls ages 7-15 and teens ages 16-18. Fernwood Cove is more than a girls' summer camp, it's more than an experience.
Fernwood Cove's enrollment process beings by requesting an Enrollment Form. Please contact our Office Manager, Noel - noel@fernwoodcove.com to request an Enrollment Form for your daughter(s). Once you have received this, directions will be sent via email to establish a Parent Account. You will be able to submit an enrollment form, make a deposit payment, access camp forms and mailings and update your personal information.

Here you will find everything you need to organize your daughters stay at Fernwood Cove from what to pack, how to get to camp, signing up for activities and much more. We are happy to introduce ourselves so that you know a little about us and where your daughter could spend her summer. Every year we work diligently to provide girls with a place that embodies the Fernwood Cove philosophies of community, personal growth and simple living in the out of doors. We strive to uphold the core values that make our camp so precious in each camper's life.
Fernwood Cove is located on 300 acres of fields and forest with over 3500 feet of lake front on the shores of Island Pond. The natural surroundings are complemented by well maintained facilities, access to woodlands and adjoining the lake, it is perfect for all our activities. Fernwood Cove has a well-planned layout that creates a sense of community and inclusiveness.

This camp is absolutely the best choice for girls to be for an overnight camp. The sense of community is unbelievably strong. The girls are forced to be out of the ordinary world by giving up on modern convinces such as phones, mirrors, electricity, etc.. The values instilled at this camp are incredible and help shape these young ladies into the very best version of themselves.

As a contractor who has worked at many of the local summer camps I can say that Fernwood Cove does more to provide a wholesome, positive experience that is truly beneficial for their campers than any other camp I have witnessed. The owners are passionate about about operating a first class camp and they submerse themselves and embrace the local community. You couldn't make a better choice for your child's summer experience!

Our daughter who is 11 is now in her 4th year at camp -- she absolutely loves it and looks forward to going back to Maine all year. The counselors, management, and other girls are very encouraging & friendly, plus the facilities are top-notch. Getting her out of the City and into nature with supportive girls from around the world is an experience that will pay life-long dividends. Thank you, Fernwood Cove.

I went to Fernwood Cove for the last possible year as a camper. I loved it so much that I decided to go back as a Counselor In Training! I was extremely nervous before I actually went to the Cove, but once I got there, I had the time of my life! Three and a half weeks seems like a really long time, but once you get there, time flies! Also, my sister has been working there for seven years and keeps returning. I agree with one of the previous reviews, as the directors do run a very tight ship. I think the staff also has a great time as well as the campers, along with making so many connections that

This place is beautiful. From the minute you turn onto the road leading up to the camp you know you are arriving somewhere special. The road travels along a picturesque lake and when you arrive on the grounds you will be happy you chose this destination. Everything is well organized, clean, and comfortable. We are here for a weekend wedding. I highly recommend you consider learning more about what this camp has to offer!
