If you only visit one winery in the Finger Lakes of Upstate New York, Frontenac point is it. The tasting room is warm and welcoming. The staff is always friendly and of course, knowledgeable about the wine they are serving. Be sure to try the bread between tastings. It is home baked at the winery.
Once you have found a wine you love, buy a glass or bottle and take it out onto their spacious deck. There is plenty of seating in the shade as well as in the sun. Given the location of the winery, the view of Cayuga lake is breathtaking.

A wonderful spot overlooking the lake from the back deck to enjoy some wine. The owner, Larry (son of the original proprietors), was super gracious in letting us have a sample of the wines we were interested in before actually ordering a glass (which was nice, because I ended up going with a different wine than my original order). No real food to speak of (just some bread cubes), but the setting and friendly vibe was the real draw -- lovely.

What a nice winery. While they only produce 2000 cases a year, what they produce is really very nice. If you enjoy these wines, the only place to get them is at the winery. They have a nice library of older wines, as well as many vibrant new wines. The style is pure finger Lakes, and what they do, is done really well. Their prices are surprisingly reasonable, given the age and quality of the offerings. I purchased several bottles to enjoy later, and only wish that I lived closer to this winery so I could come more often to replenish my supply.

I had an excellent visit over the weekend at this winery. Their wines were traditional and more dry, totally to my taste. I did a tasting and purchased several bottles to take home. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. No gift shop or catchy gimmicks. Just a small establishment with good wine and better views of Cayuga Lake than many other wineries nearby with a large deck.

We passed Frontenac Point on our way to another winery and decided we should check it out on our way back to our rental since we would pass it again. Out of all the wineries we went to on our weekend trip this one's tasting room was the plainest. Most sold other items this literally was just a place to taste and had there wine. I liked that they had multiple options, a flight of red, a flight of chardonnay and pick six. We went for the pick six options. Both servers were extremely friendly and knowledgeable not only about their wine but the area in general. We had great conversation
