Garnish was founded with a core staff with over 45 years of combined catering experience. Our clients come from corporate, private, and government sectors and each seek an extreme level of culinary creativity and service. Garnish has been quickly recognized for the excellence we provide clients by being named to numerous preferred caterers lists across the state of Virginia.
Louis grew up in the best of both worlds, splitting his life between Charleston, SC and Richmond. In a circuitous route Louis did his undergraduate work at Virginia Tech, graduate work at College of Charleston and then the culinary program at Reynolds Community College.
Believing that life is truly about the road you take to find your passion Louis has worked at the highest levels of professional theater (technical design), as a golf professional, working in the advertising & non-profit development world before falling for catering over 10 years ago.Louis brings all of this experience into the design, planning and execution of events.

Picking a venue is more than just picking a pretty place for your event. We know the hidden gems in town as well as the lemons disguised as the must-have spot. We'll also consider details like parking, security needs, and hidden costs at every site visit -spilling all the beans on what a venue coordinator might not tell you.
Garnish catered our wedding last month and they did an outstanding job. The food was absolutely delicious - all our guests are still talking about the great meal they had. They were flexible and accomodating and helped us to create our dream wedding menu. We were able to create a family-style meal that would accomodate anyones' dietary restrictions, no one left hungry.

Caleb and the team at Garnish RVA were absolutely incredible. We got married in Luray in July 2021, and we liked working with Garnish so much we asked them to cater both our rehearsal dinner *and* the wedding, so experienced their service twice, and would recommend them to anyone.
Every catering service we talked to before them just tried to make us pick from a standard menu. Caleb was the first caterer to actually sit down with us and listen to what we wanted, and then created an amazing menu based on our input. My wedding planning company, the Hive Wedding Collective, has handled logistics and design for over 200 weddings in Virginia, DC and Maryland. I executed my first wedding with Garnish last night and it went off without a hitch.
The planning process with Caleb was great. We had one plan, and then Covid hit, and he seamlessly helped us pivot and create a new plan to kept our guests safe and happy.
His team was professional, hard working and arrived on-site with confidence while maintaining safe serving practices. All that and the food was tasty and the drinks were cold!

We chose Garnish as our caterer for our wedding in July 2019. I couldn't speak more highly of the service and value that Garnish provided. Our menu was so unique and insanely delicious. We chose to have stations that offered our guests a variety of options which included fish tacos, carved beef tataki, bacon and biscuit pairings, and a salad bar. Caleb was awesome and went above and beyond to meet all of our requests and worked well with our venue to ensure the day went off without a hitch. He even helped us come up with some fun signature cocktails! I would 1000% recommend using Garnish. Our wedding

Phenomenal. Seriously. I couldn't have asked for better food, service, and overall experience for our wedding! Caleb was very responsive and professional. He helped us customize our menu to what we wanted...and our guests LOVED it!!! Thank you Garnish team for making it happen. I am still dreaming about the steak to this day!

Can’t say anything other than WOW! Caleb and the rest of the garnish catering crew were amazing. They catered our wedding which was about 100 people and did an amazing job. The food was great and the service and attentiveness to detail was even better. Very affordable, professional, and made us feel how much they appreciated our business! If I ever need anything catered in the future they will be the first people I call!

Garnish catered our wedding, and they did an amazing job! They were able to create a custom 'Oktoberfest' themed meal for us at an extremely reasonable price. Their staff is extremely friendly, and all of the servers were professional. We got the sense they were passionate about what they do, and our wedding was 'just another event'. They were very upfront with us on the pricing, and didn't force us to pay for anything extra or something that we could get on our own. Would recommend 100%!
