I began working in the industry at the age of 15. It was 1983 and back then verticals were the treatment everyone wanted. The outfit I worked for acquired a drapery workroom so I switched over from laminating wallpaper on mini blinds and verticals to cutting and sewing swags and jabots, amongst other types of treatments.
At 19, I started a cornice and headboard workroom out of the basement of my parents house. Soon I grew the business to draperies and moved it to Bloomfield Avenue in Verona. I named it Nelson Drapery. There I did all fashions of drapes, cornices, upholstered walls and of course, installation. Now some thirty years later I have grown an install business that caters to the large box stores as well as the part-time designer.

We are professional window treatment installers, serving the industry for over 35 years in the Northern New Jersey Area. From blinds to drapes, shutters to motorization, we have installed it all and are up to date with all the new products. We also can modify products for that custom fit and can reach the highest of windows.
We were pleased to install a very high and difficult job for Regal Drape. Regaldrape.com is a online drapery workroom that fabricates high end draperies to the public. They supply hardware and fabrics and give our companies information ( jnminstallers.com ) as a outsource to measure and install. We are excited to come aboard with Regal Drapes and look forward to growing our business.

Jim was really great! He was my installer through Lowes for our blinds and was the easiest part of the whole experience. He immediately scheduled a time with me and came very prompt to the appointment. He also hung a picture in my house that wasn't part of the job, but was very nice of him to help me out with it. Thanks Jim for doing such a great job!

Jim installed interior shutters throughout our living room and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. He was very accommodating to our busy schedules when arranging installation times. He was efficient, quick and professional. He even went out of his way when one of our window frames was misshaped to make an extra trip to the store to fix it. Great Job!
