Mera Khana

Terrible quality of goat meat. Went in to get 5 lbs of goat meat, and he just piled up these pre cut pieces into a bag. I asked if there was any leg pieces, he said they were mixed in. All I got was $70 worth of stale, rib pieces full of tendon and fat, hardly any meat. There was NO leg pieces. Worst experience ever, and will stick to Sunnyvale Market from here on out.

Worst shop ever i visited. Price goggling way too expensive meat when compared to other halal meat shop. Only once i visited i will never come back again here. Don’t price too much your customers never visit again

Pricy items but inferior quality. Not to mention the stench in the meat section. Try some other store with a cleaner meat section

Have been to this place couple times, their customer care is horrible, if you are a south Asian woman, butcher will not even turn around , will talk to you turning his back pretending he is busy. The guy before and the old guy now both are the same. They might need some lessons of how to respect people, specially women. I felt like that they don't want to sell me anything. When I asked for leg meat he was very grumpy and said he can't give leg meat unless I buy 4lb or more. So I got mixed goat 2lb, all he had given me is 80% of cut ribs, no meat.. very disappointed!! I Will never go

We have been getting our fresh meat (especially goat) from here for years!!! We go probably once a month. Always great and highly recommend if buying fresh meat is what you're looking for. Not much experience in purchasing anything else from the store. Usually pretty quick and easy, we are friendly with the staff as it's been a long time.

Such a wrost customer service I've ever seen in my life. Employees are so rude to us. Will never come back again.

I’m giving one star because I have no option to give zero. There is an indian guy at the store who got some serious attitude issues. I have ignored few times by thinking may be he is having a rough day but nope, his attitudes are at top notch level. Even if they have good meat but what’s the point of going there if that guy behaves so rudely and doesn’t give any direct reply to your queries. He also lack common etiquettes like saying hello and hi . that place stinks like hell. Hope the owner will take care of these issues.

The guy who always answers the call is very rude and always put the customers call on hold and don't answer the call.

Employee uses same gloves for beef and chicken. So if one doesn’t eat beef avoid this place. I brought lamb here once and it was really bad not fresh at all. Stinky place.

I went there once, but it was so smelly and dirty inside. I have been to better stores. I went to purchase some lamb, but this store was smelling from the outside and inside is worse

Love getting meat and groceries from here. Rajesh and Nasir are very friendly and helpful. At times I call ahead of time and they always have the meat ready for me. My husband is a very picky meat person and he swears by their quality of meat

What a great place to get your fresh meat, both Nasser and Rakesh are extremely helpful and will go the extra mile to ensure you get top quality meat and meat cuts.

I always wait and get my meat cut or dressed as I want, for chicken curry I always get full chicken and cut the pieces at home on my own like I want.

The best way to get your best meat takes an effort on your side as well, find out when do they receive their meat supply, and go get your meat the next day. I've never been given old meat, both gentlemen have shown me whatever I needed, and I made the choice of either getting it

Store owners are kind and accommodating and the place is always clean. It's nice to have a butcher you can trust to have good quality meats.

The quality of the meat isn't the greatest and the store isn't very clean inside. I really wanted to like this place because of the reviews and a recommendation from a friend but I really don't see myself coming here again.

Bad quality! Be cautious! They try to sell fatty meat quality to consumers. Terrible dishonest store. Scammers. Be aware.

Cuisine is only as good as the quality of the ingredients. MK has the freshest chicken available in the area coupled with great customer service. They have become my barbecue secret as the taste and quality of their bird is far superior to any supermarket (including expensive ones). Superior value and quality - thanks Mera Khana!

Went there not much stuff bought mezbaan kabab its was written 8 pieces got inly 5 looks like it was open and split .i dont know why indian ships do that.

New owner and a complete difference. Regardless if you prefer Halal meat or not the quality of it is superior than anywhere you would find in the area

Mera Khana is a HFSAA certified establishment.
I have been coming to Mera Khana to purchase halal and fresh quality meat and poultry for about two years now. The meat and poultry is always fresh. Prices are reasonable. Customer service is very friendly and helpful. Overall, great store located in a small shopping plaza.

I've been frequenting Mera Khana for close to 3 years now. I worked for a local butcher in high school and was looking for a similar customer experience that I remember giving in the butcher shop. The meat was delicious and the service was great!

There's since been an ownership change without a drop in quality of meat or service (The opposite, in fact!). The new marinated meats are very good and made to order.

I recommend MK to all of my friends, family and coworkers. You cannot go wrong.

Did you know that GOAT has more protein than beef and less sat fat than chicken?

Marinated whole chicken is delicious. Tandoori! However, one time I got a plain whole chicken (4lbs) for $9.99 and another time I got a marinated whole chicken (2.4lbs) for $9.99. I'd rather have a bigger bird. :T

**They also carry Harris Ranch meats which seems like an issue for some people due to feedlots. HR claims they don't use hormones, but they do use MONSANTO GMO corn for their feed.
