Before you pack even one box, create a simple record keeping system. You'll need plenty of boxes; probably more boxes than you think. If you buy your boxes from a moving company, you can always return unused boxes for a refund. Have about 10 boxes set aside to use for last minute items on moving day such as bedding, clothing and cleaning supplies.

Fast, professional, and very reasonably priced.
They were all extremely careful with my belongings. Used good, clean blankets for everything! ( my stuff isn't that nice,but it has a lot of memories. )

First I would say the movers themselves are amazing. Super nice and very respectful. They were detailed and really took care of my items. They should go work for a better person.

My problem is with Tom. It's interesting reading the other reviewers one star for the same reason. Tom is rude and arrogant. I was recommended to him by a colleague. He explained that we would be charged $130 an hour for the time moving our items out of house and then there would be a trip charge for the drive of $130. We would then be charged for the move into our new house. This was fine. They arrived around 9

I used this company and the workers were really good, professional and treated my furniture with care. This was a residential move from McKinney to Melissa. I think I was taken advantage of. When I originally contacted them for a quote, I though I wrote down their price as being 80 an hour with no trip charge. Other companies quoted me trip charges and I did not go with them. When they called to confirm my move I confirmed the price and they said it was 90.00 an hour. I mentioned that this was not what I was quoted, but I lost the paper I wrote the quote on. He still didn't mention a trip

We contacted Tom Allen at Allen Moving to help facilitate a local move - we let him know that we were moving from a 2-story 3,000sqft property to a 2-story 3250sqft property approx 20 miles away and were looking for a flat rate quote. We asked him to come out and view our current home, furnishings, etc so that he could provide an accurate quote. He came out two weeks prior to our move, and promptly sent back a quote that aligned with our budget and needs.

I am an Over The Road truck driver. I moved someones house to Dallas. Being a truck driver is really a lot of customer service. Allen Moving was a customer of my company that I work for. Upon arrival to the customers' house, I was greated professionally (by Allen Moving, movers). I was treated with professionalism and respect. Mind you, they were my customers. I hope I was able to recipricate the respect and professional attitude that this company gives. Just used these folks for a small office move. The guys showed up on time, and unlike our previous choice of movers, hustled to get it done quickly, did NOT scar the walls when bringing in the furniture, were friendly, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them!
