Board certified dermatologists are the only physicians with advanced medical training to diagnose and treat skin, hair and nail conditions. Becoming a board certified dermatologist requires years of intense specialty training including 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, a 1 year general medicine internship or transitional year and 3 years of dermatology residency.
Dr. Anne Snider is a board certified dermatologist born and raised in Osage, IA. She graduated summa cum laude from Central College in Pella, IA and went on to get her medical degree from the University of Iowa where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Snider completed her dermatology residency at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago serving as chief resident.
Board certified dermatologist Dr. Laura Myers grew up in Adair, Iowa. She attended Drake University, graduating summa cum laude. From there, she attended Dartmouth Medical School, where she received the prestigious Albert Schweitzer Fellowship and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

If you're wanting a professional, pleasant, efficient and effective dermatology experience, this is the place to be! I just visited their new Ankeny office and it exceeded my high expectations. Home run! And, if you don't already have a preferred doctor to see, I would highly recommend Dr. Myers. Not only is she highly qualified and skilled, her bedside manner is definitely "best in class".

I have been going to Dr. Smith for a few months now for adult acne and she has been wonderful. She takes the time to listen to my concerns/updates and worked with me to find a routine that has completely cleared up my skin. Finally after 2 years of acne I am seeing the best skin I’ve ever had. I couldn’t recommend her or the team more and the new Ankeny office is beautiful!

Dr. Myers is an amazing dermatologist. My father passed away from malignant melanoma six years ago and I am at high risk myself. I saw her that same year and she has provided skilled and compassionate care ever since. I was elated to see that she had opened a new practice and highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of a dermatologist. She and her staff take the time to make sure you are comfortable and to explain procedures in advance. I never feel rushed or that I don’t get enough time with her to address my concerns. Excellent office and great staff!
