I'm glad you could stop by. Here you will find information about me and the services I offer as a licensed psychotherapist. IMPORTANT UPDATE - I WILL NOT BE WORKING FROM MY OFFICE DURING "SHELTER-IN-PLACE" BUT I WILL BE SEEING EVERYONE REMOTELY via Skype, Facetime, Zoom, or Doxy_me. I am certified both as a distance credentialed counselor (#553) and as a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider #1320.
I work from a relational Jungian perspective integrating other approaches as may be helpful. Much of what happens in therapy is about understanding you, exploring what matters to you and about helping you discover fulfillment and meaning in your life. Even though I am a believer in depth work, I am interactive and quite obviously engaged with you.

This is a presentation I did with Drs Scott Mosser and Jamison Green at USPATH. It was about our reflections about WPATH and what we can learn from the past as we develop our new WPATH affiliate based in the United States called USPATH. Central to me is an individual's authority over his or her own life tempered with compassion for others and the recognition that there are many different ways of living an authentic life. Therapy is about making a deep connection with another human being on a path of exploration and understanding about how best to live that life.
My primary area of specialization in 35 years of practice is doing long-term depth psychotherapy with a wide range of people. I like working with all kinds of people, young, old, from various backgrounds, cultures and stages of transitions in their lives. I generally work with people for a long time and many people return after a number of years to check-in or discuss new concerns.
As I mentioned in my welcome page, over the years, I have developed an interest in gender and it's intersection with individual identity, culture and education. As such, I have developed a subspecialty within my practice of working with transgender people and their families. This subspecialty actually developed rather early, during my internship.
