Services
We are pleased to offer our patients comprehensive medical dermatology services and solutions for a wide range of skin conditions. Our seasoned team of providers have extensive experience treating and managing acne, psoriasis, rosacea, skin cancer, warts, dry skin, eczema, and other dermatological issues.
Fortunately, there a variety of ways to combat active acne, prevent future breakouts, and achieve consistently clear skin. We are pleased to offer a comprehensive approach to acne that includes at-home skincare solutions and in-office treatments. These options seek to destroy p. acnes bacteria, deep clean pores, reduce inflammation, and shrink oil gland for a healthy andblemish-free complexion.
Acne scars occur when breakouts penetrate deep in the skin and damage underlying tissue. While they can be difficult to treat with at-home remedies, we offer a number of in-office procedures to soften scars and restore a smooth, even skin tone. Continue reading to learn about the different types of acne scars and possible treatment options.
Melanoma is a serious form of skin cancer that develops in melanocytes, which are pigment-producing cells. While melanoma is less common than basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, it is also deadlier. That being said, when detected and treated early, melanoma is often curable. The estimated five-year survival rate for melanoma, detected in its earliest stages, is approximately 99 percent.
Skin cancer is far more common than many people imagine. In fact, it is the most common type of cancer in the U.S. and affects nearly five million Americans per year. The good news is that skin cancer is often treatable when diagnosed early through self-exams and annual skin cancer screenings. Here's everything you need to know about skin cancer signs, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment.

Dr. Yousefi is the best derm. I’ve seen in the DMV (and I’ve been to several.) She doesn’t just cut every time so she can bill insurance. She is thorough, and I truly believe has my overall well-being at heart. Her cosmetic costs are higher than average, but if you want the best you’ve got to pay for it right? Would highly recommend that you schedule your next appointment with her!

**Update: Do not use this medical provider unless you want to be over-billed.**
Excellent medical service, although billing has been very difficult. They didn't credit the payments I made while at the office twice in a row. The first issue was corrected after some back and forth, but now dealing with the same issue on the most recent bill. At first they acknowledged it was their mistake and the remaining amount on the bill was paid, now they advise it's not. Disupiting the matter with my insurance company.
Although my insurance company confirmed there should be no balance due, unfortunately Dr

I spent my youth heedlessly soaking up the sun. As a septuagenarian, as a result, I suffer from all manner of cancerous, pre-cancerous, and would-be-cancerous growths on my skin. Dr. Yousefi is a first-rate dermatologist with a patient, personable, but precise manner of dealing with my skin conditions, and she is ably assisted by other professionals. Every six months I see her and her staff for an update. Treatment so far has been quick and painless. I don't need beautiful skin, although I'm sure that Dr. Yousefi could help provide that if asked. I need skin that is relatively healthy. Dr. Yousefi

Careless practice, particularly with regard to scheduling. Patients have to schedule months in advance to get an appointment, and even then, the office regularly cancels on the patient. The front desk does not even accommodate their cancelation by reserving a new date for you and only offers another first-available appointment months later. Of course, with no guarantee that time will be honored.
I've had two appointments cancelled on short notice, with no explanation other than "the doctor is out for the day." Most recently, I found out my appointment was canceled on the day of

I have been a patient of Jillian, Dr. Yousefi’s PA for the past year now. She is hands down one of the best dermatologists I have encountered in Northern VA. She is thorough, kind and takes her time explaining everything to me. I trust her opinion and will continue going to her for all my skin issues.

Dr. Yousefi was knowledgeable but I waited 45 minutes for a 5 minute appointment because her office booked way too many people. The reception staff is unprofessional and disorganized. Dr. Yousefi rushed through the appointment and was not very friendly. The reception staff tried to guess what my co-pay might be because they couldn't look it up. I told them I was not giving them money for a "guess-timate". The office décor is plain. Not a bad dermatologist office but not good either. I won't be returning.

Wow, what dreadful customer service! The one thing you never expect is to have the person sigh over the phone and sound like you are gum under their shoes when you try to make an appointment.
I was already nervous about calling and then to be treated like that! I can only imagine how I would be treated by the personal that allows that behavior!

I had been going to Dr. Yousefi's practice for several years. At my last visit I went in to get something checked. While prepping for the check in the room I asked an additional question which came to mind. Dr. Yousefi looked at the area briefly (less than 5 seconds) and then continued on to the intent of my visit. After my visit I received a bill in the mail charging me 2 visits due to the additional question. I called my insurance. They advised me to have the doctors office remove the charge. Firstly, being charged for multiple visits for a question seems wrong. My overall time with Dr.

Dr. Marjan Yousefi is a thoughtful, focused dermatologist and enjoys a successful practice for a reason. She has convenient offices that are well staffed in both Arlington and Vienna, Virginia. She and her staff "map" moles and "interesting freckles" very carefully and she uses a specialized lab to evaluate any moles that are selected for a shave biopsy. Also, if you have a "sudden concern" of any kind, you can get an appointment quickly which is very important for this type of medical practice.
