Services
At ECVA, our skilled ophthalmologists, optometrists and opticians apply the most advanced methods of diagnosis and treatment for eye conditions and disorders to help our patients maintain healthy sight throughout their lifetime. When it comes to eye care, the eye doctors at ECVA work together, along with your primary care doctors and specialists, to ensure the patients' best interests are always the primary goal.
Our ophthalmologists are board-certified medical doctors. Each has completed college and at least eight years of additional medical training. Ophthalmologists specialize in eye and vision care and are licensed to practice medicine and surgery. In addition to diagnosing and treating all eye diseases, ophthalmologists perform eye surgery and prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses to correct vision problems.
I am excited to be back among the friendly people of Western New York, providing them with the highest-quality vision care at one of the area's most reputable eye care medical practices. The doctors and the staff truly care about our patients and utilize all the latest techniques and innovations to provide expert eye care, and I am very happy to be part of that.
I love what we do here at ECVA. It is a team approach where everyone is focused on one goal: making you see the best that you can. Dr. Montesanti is a board-certified ophthalmologist and clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He joined ECVA in July of 2002 and became partner the following year.
Dr. David T. Styn joined ECVA in the fall of 2020 with over 20 years of experience. Previously, he practiced in Lewiston, Niagara Falls, and Orchard Park. A Western New York native, Dr. Styn is a graduate of Canisius College and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr Styn received his Theraputic certification in 1999.

Maple road location.
The eye care specialists are great, super friendly, etc etc. everything you would want.
However once you are done there and head over to the eye glass selection area things go down hill. At least with the older gentleman helping me. He was very nice and accommodating to me (white woman who mentioned where I work). He was NOT nice patient or accommodating to the Asian woman that came in while I was shopping for frames. He was rude, loud, interrupted her and spoke down to her. I felt so uneasy and uncomfortable with his behaviour I decided to leave and buy my $350 frames at

The associates were very professional while giving me the extra personal care I required due to my physical challenges. It appeared, to be an altruistic air of good customer care and a genuine feeling that all associates enjoyed being there. Parking lots not very handicapped friendly; spacing too narrow on Elmwood side to get my walker out while exiting my vehicle and the W Delavan lot has steps to enter building which I am unable to use. But my overall all experience was a pleasant one.

Great people and experience. One thing to note if you are getting an eye exam and need contact lenses as well: it requires a separate appointment for that exam. In previous years of wearing contacts and visiting different practices, this was a first for me. I was told after my eye exam that I had to schedule a separate appointment with the optician, the first available was almost a week later. Not a huge deal, but I would have scheduled both appointments for the same day had I known this was required when I first called to avoid a separate visit.
