Dr. Maddux received his Bachelor's Degree from Old Dominion University with a major in biology. He furthered his education at the prestigious Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After graduating top of his class, Dr. Maddux was admitted into the orthodontic residency program at West Virginia University where he received a Master's in orthodontics.

We LOVE Dr. Maddux and all of his staff! It’s such a bright, calm & welcoming atmosphere. The staff is so warm and friendly & very efficient. They all seem to genuinely care about our teeth and our treatment experience. I especially love that they offer tips for good home care to my children - because hearing it from them, they actually listen. We love the incentives & contests, the fun Maddux shirts, hats, water bottles, etc (the shirts are so cool and soft. They are all my kids’ favorite shirts). My kids actually look forward to their appointments & we have been so happy with the end results

As an adult seeking orthodontics care, I was aittle nervous and skeptical about my options. I was immediately welcomed, assessed, and provided all of my options with no pressure. Through the course of my treatment, Dr Maddux and his staff have worked with my crazy public safety work schedule including appointment changes and ensured I had what I needed. I am 28 years old and finally getting braces. I wish I got them sooner but my work didn't permit it. Anyways I looked online to see what places were in town and came across this one. I saw that it had great reviews and there were people traveling far distances. So I decided to get a free consultation. When I got there, the office was amazing! There was complimentary coffee (k cups), water, flavored sparking water, and such. When you sign in, you sign it at the front on an iPad and they will call you up afterwards. I'm 26 years old and want braces. I came across Maddux Ortho. I have insurance but does not cover braces for adults. Ridiculous right?! I left my consultation a hour ago and I felt very welcoming coming in. Going into any dentist, orthodontist, or doctor can make my nerves a little uneasy. Not with this place. I was in a out of there with easy. Dr. Maddux and his fantastic crew were super sweet. I recommend them 100%. I called my sister and told her to go there.
The were no sales pitches going on. They were very transparent about the whole procedure and payment plans.
