Hospice Of The Valley
Hospice of the Valley provided everything we needed for care at home-the bed, oxygen equipment, and more. Most important of all, they provided wonderful, caring people to help us every step of the way. Hospice of the Valley (HOV) and Sutter Care at Home (SCAH) have joined to continue providing the legacy of high-quality programs and services dedicated to those with serious illness or needing end-of life care.

This collaboration enhances Hospice of the Valley's ability to provide hospice care and grief support services in the greater Santa Clara County. Hospice of the Valley celebrates our more than 40 years of service and continues to serve its community with the same not-for-profit mission and values with our integration to Sutter Care at Home.
Services
Living with an Illness: Living with a life-limiting illness is difficult. We understand that coping with an illness requires expert care, compassion and personal attention. Caring for a Loved One: Providing care in a loved one's home is challenging on many levels - physical, emotional and spiritual.
Hospice of the Valley also offers grief support at no charge for the family and loved ones of the patient for 13 months as part of our hospice services. Our Community Grief & Counseling Center also offers bereavement support to grieving community members. At Hospice of the Valley, we understand that choosing comfort over cure can sound like giving up hope.
Hospice is a philosophy of care that focuses on life and Living Every MomentTM. At Hospice of the Valley, we apply more than 40 years of experience and expertise to provide hospice care. When you face a life-limiting illness, you may feel like your life is out of control. Hospice of the Valley provides expert care and support to empower you, enabling you to fulfill your wishes and receive the type of care you want.
At Hospice of the Valley, our goal is to provide expert care that enhances your quality of life wherever you call home, whether it is a private residence, an assisted living facility, nursing home or hospital. One of the most common myths about hospice is that it is a place. It is the type of care, not a place that defines hospice.
Families often tell us, "We wish we would have called hospice sooner." Read some of our family stories to learn how Hospice of the Valley's care and support made a difference in their lives. Our goal is to help you fulfill your wishes for end-of-life care, yet for you to remain independent for as long as possible.
