I'm always pleased with the service and advice. They are professionals that take their job seriously.
Update from August 2020: They just are way too busy because of COVID. Everyone is getting back into biking and their service is strained because of it.

They didn’t look at my bike until the day before it was scheduled to be picked up and then called and told me my wheel was wasted. Another few days to get the parts and then I get the bike back and the brakes are mushy and the gears aren’t

Awesome shop. Staff was friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. I gave a description of how I was going to use a new bike and their staff pointed me in the right direction, answered my questions, set a bike up for a test ride, acknowledged my feedback, and when I bought the bike that I figured was best for me, they helped me set it up with pedals and accessories. They were just as excited as I was, and I felt no pressure at all! Definitely supporting this LBS with my business and recommending to others!

Awesome turn around
Me and my dad were prepared for a fun day at trestle bike park but found out that his tire had bubbles on the outside and would break so we had to have it replaced. We initially went to elevation because it was closer but they said it could be done tomorrow or at the earliest end of today. We turned to alpha cycles and they looked equally busy but who is to say. Any way they said sure thing and when we got there they changed the tire right then and there 15 minutes time! Honestly saved me and my dads day. Would totally recommend especially if you are in a rush and need a quick

This business tried to steal $4500 from me.
I came in to order a $7500 mountain bike (which was being sold at $500 over MSRP). I placed a deposit down for 60% of the cost of the bike. That night I decided that I should demo the bike before deciding to purchase it as I was in between sizes and did not receive a bike fit. The next day (under 24 hours since I originally went to the store) I called to tell them that I wanted to wait until I had a chance to demo the bikes before ordering. I was told that they do not refund deposits. I was never told that the deposit was non-refundable at any point

Paid these guys a visit during Covid with the intent to buy an Ibis Rimpo. When I started talking to the guys in the shop and they were super helpful recognizing what type of riding I am in to and getting me in to the right bike for me. These guys knew the every detail about each bike in the shop and got me fitted into a new Kona Process. I am stoked to ride it and can't thank these dudes enough for getting me ready to ride. My 4th bike from Alpha and I could not be more satisfied. Purchased two mountain bikes and two gravel. My last Gravel bike is a All-City Cosmic Stallion Force 1 and I have to say I was originally going to buy just the frame and fork to build but after some convincing from Adam the owner I bought the Cosmic Stallion and I could not be happier. It truly is the best riding, best handling bike I have ever ridden. Service has been impeccable, even setting up all the bikes tubeless, they never charged me. Steve worked on my bike specifically, but the whole team here is awesome and clearly loves what they are doing. As we all know, mountain bikes are incredibly expensive so I bought a used one two years ago that had quite a few issues. I brought it in and they not only got it setup ahead of schedule to help me get to Moab a bit faster, but they also took the time to explain everything they did, what to watch out for, and how to properly maintain it going forward! Staff was very helpful, had an employee help me find the correct bottom bracket size for the cranks on a dirt jump bike, he had a service guy make sure it was the correct BB for a 24mm spindle and they didn't try to up sell me on service to install the part or a more expensive part to get it installed. Part was correct size and prices were definitely fair, will probably pick up some tools at Alpha because they had a couple I have been needing.

I hardly ever review anything but after so many great interactions with Dave and Tom I have to give huge credit where it belongs. A year and a half ago I talked to several shops about a new mtn bike. After much deliberation I decided I felt comfortable working with Dave at Alpha and I am so glad I did. These guy are so knowledgeable and friendly and they support you with complimentary tune-ups. They have me helped me get the bike I needed and my riding enjoyment increased tremendously. They are completely in your corner and will get the best deal from the manufacture if there is ever a problem

Great service oriented local bike shop. I bought an Ibis Ripley in 2018. They were very helpful in selecting my bike and customizing it exactly how I wanted everything.
I like doing my own general maintenance and upgrades, but many times my work and family schedule does not cooperate. Sometimes I just want my bike ready to ride without the prep. If you need it done right, come here first.
The demo program was excellent. It allowed me to ride several bikes or Ride the Ripley multiple times. One weekend ride was significantly shortened due to weather so they allowed me to schedule another weekend

My husband took his road bike in for a fitting because he was having knee issues. They solved the problem with a new stem and moving the seat. Great service! Knowledgeable and reasonable prices! My husband is super happy that they didn't upsell him or try to sell him a new bike. We are trying this first step with adjusting the bike before we would buy a new one.

Very good experience. I purchased a bike at a garage sale for $4. Not suggesting this is a great idea but I have several bikes but I did not necessarily like to ride them. This was an old specialized crossroads XP. The frame is rigid, handle shift 21 speed, light weight 15lbs, from 1994. Condition was OK, was not in riding condition when I got it. Front rim was cracked, tires were original, tubes old, brakes pad were toast. I got it barely rideable to test it out before I took it in. The size was comfortable. Cost of repairs ...$230+. Very reasonable. I have been riding it and it’s awesome! The

Went in there needing help with a mechanical issue and they were super accomodating. Tom was really nice and diagnosed the issue so I was able to go home and finally resolve the problem. This was my go to shop since moving to the neighborhood a little over a year ago. They were always so nice and cared about riding. The shop recently changed owners and the new staff is not friendly, helpful, courteous or worth visiting. This shop exemplifies why the LBS is a relic of american history.

Walked in and was interested in taking a bike out for a demo. Spoke to Dave about options. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I told him that I was not going to buy a bike, but he still treated me as if I was, and to me that says a lot about his professionalism. I work for a well known investment firm. Our goal is to treat every client the same regardless if they have if they have over 100 million or just a few thousand with the firm. Thanks Dave for give great customer service!

This shop and its manager are wonderful. My eight year old son and his friend went on a bike ride which ended in an epic crash and a mangled hand break. The boys were super bummed so we swung by Alpha. Dave, the manager (I hope I remembered his name right) fixed the hand break on the spot and we were back on the trail. Thanks! We will be back.

I've been in here twice looking for assistance, advice, and parts to get my 15 year old mountain bike going again. They've always been super friendly and willing to help me out even though I haven't purchased too much there. They took the time to educate me on what I would need to find to get my bike going again not knowing if I'd ever even walk back in the door. I'll for sure bring my business here instead of the larger chain stores.

I absolutely love this shop! I bought my beautiful Ridley 105 Orion and they gave it to me for an equally beautiful price. Furthermore, they gave me a free fitting. Now, being a girl and getting fitted for a bike by a guy seemed like it was going to be at least a little awkward but in reality the tech that fitted me, Chris, was super professional and highly relational. And now my bike fits like a DREAM!! All of the guys at Alpha really know their stuff and are equally willing to talk to you about it. My brother also got his road bike here too and was the one to initially recommend their company

I came here to get my bicycle packed for shipping and I am extremely happy.
Price was very reasonable and they accommodated my needs (my bike has a tall seatpost). Bike was packed flawlessly and the bike made it to my destination in perfect condition.
