An electric bike at its core is still a bike. So, you need to look at its overall components and style and see whether it would still be a bike you would ride without power. At the end of the day, no matter how good the electrical components are, if you put them on a cheap or unreliable bike, it will not give you a good experience.
EBO has teamed up with Project Recycle (a Colorado based 501c3) to donate bike wheels in support of their efforts to provide a constant in a life of change. Project Recycle established two main programs for bike distribution. Their "Dream Bike Program" challenges children in the k-6th grade to earn a bike by improving in 3 areas: Attendance, Respect and Academic Growth.

I am now into my third year on a Burly kit, As a volunteer bike patrolman for the City of Lakewood Parks Department, I have put over 10,000 miles on the bike with very few problems. I had Jason do the install, And he did a beautiful job. I watched several. YouTube videos on battery maintenance, and I hope to get another year out of this one. I highly recommend electric bike Outfitters to everyone I meet.

I am bumping my review down to one star, the reason? I have had the Burley kit for one and half years and I have had nothing but trouble. Two motors and two motor controllers later, its apparent EBO doesnt do Quality Assurance or maybe they don't vet their suppliers adequately. Whatever the reason, I have NOT been a satisfied user of their kit. I am biting the bullet and moving away from their kits. There are plenty out there. I am personally moving towards a mid-drive from Bafang. I would NOT recommend EBO to anyone. I sincerely hope others have a better experience

I ordered the Phantom kit and put it on an aluminum mountain bike frame (rear wheel). I also chose the LED controller, instead of the LCD, as to make the bike less conspicuous. Few people notice the system. I mentioned to one older lady that the bike had a motor on it - she laughed, thinking I was joking. Disc brake hides motor well. I took the bike through a desert national park road, where there were long inclines, high winds, and quite the distance to travel. The bike did really well. I ordered the Phantom kit and put it on my mountain bike hybrid. I couldnt be happier with this setup. I recently started with a company that has an office in Downtown Denver. My 9 mile commute from SE Cherry Creek was taking 40 minutes in the car, and costing me $15 a day in parking. After doing some research into my options, I noticed that the Cherry Creek trail was a viable way for me to get from my house to my office. I tried a normal bike ride a few times and hated showing up to work hot and sweaty... I love the fact that the electric bike lets me commute the 9 miles to my office using city
