The I Bike Santa Barbara tour is designed to provide our guests with the perfect balance of experiences that this beautiful part of the world offers: great exercise and sightseeing, the wonderful tastes of local artisan olive oils and wine, a delicious re-energizing lunch that features local farmer's market ingredients.
Well, we don't do it in that order! We devote the a.m. hours to exploring the quaint valley towns, Lavender Farm, and stunning vistas and fun animals of Ballard Canyon on the bikes. Then we reward you wth an afternoon of olive oil and wine tasting with a delicious lunch. It's a perfect balance that our guests really love.
It is not unusual for our riders to ask about places to go for a nice dinner after the bike tour, or for recommendations about things to do in Santa Barbara or neighboring areas up or down the coast. We have also discovered that many of our guests book with us before deciding on accomodations in Santa Barbara.
Food is important to us! It really guides the way we travel and we likewise strive to provide a thoughtful and restorative lunch on the bike tour, one that sources local flavors and features selections from the Farmer's Market. In that spirit, here are some of our favorite restaurant recommendations for a special night out and great Santa Barbara experience.
Your tour through Santa Barbara Wine Country continues with thoughtfully selected seasonal shipments from this world class appellation. Highlighting the AVAs within Santa Barbara, the club is focussed and approachable to a begining wine lover. Featuring a different winery with each shipment, it is broad enough to appeal to seasoned wine enthusiasts as well.

Last weekend I went on and I Bike Santa Barbara Wine tour and had a wonderful experience. There are a lot of good posts that paint a picture of the experience so I'll give you a few pointers on how to make the most out of the tour.
1. Rent the E-Bike
It doesn't matter if you think you are in great shape or not the e-bike gives you the option of controlling the intensity of the workout. If you'd like to slow down and take in the scenery you can!
2. Learn how to use the E-Bike before the start of the tour.
Practice on using the peddle assist before the group starts off. That way your not trying

My husband and I booked a tour for our anniversary and we have been talking about it since it ended!! If you are wondering if this is for you... just do it. Beautiful scenery, lots of wine, a fun time with a little exercise, good conversation, a delicious lunch... YES PLEASE! William is THE best tour guide we’ve ever had and we’ve been on lots of group tours. Will be doing this again with our friends because we just have to share this great experience!

This review is long overdue! My friend and I went to Santa Barbara back in November and are still talking about this tour. We went with William on the longer bike tour with electric bikes. Highly recommend the extended bike ride! The views were unbeatable. William was an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable and had the cutest lunch prepared, which was also delicious. I have been on several wine tours and going by bike was one of my favorite experiences. Must do if your in Santa Barbara! Had a great time with our boy William!

We thoroughly enjoyed our ride with William through the backroads of Santa Ynez. The scenery, bike paths, and stops to highlight gems along the way, i.e. Solvang, local farms, architecture, and vineyards, made for an enriching experience. The farmer's market lunch was delicious. Also, William tailored our route to how much we wanted to exert ourselves. That was greatly appreciated.

Thank you William for a fantastic tour of Santa Ynez valley! Your knowledge and attention to detail made the trip exceptional (water bottles, snacks and a delicious lunch). We rode around a few vineyards in the Santa Ynez valley, stopped in Solvang and ended up in Los Olivos. The town was super cute and had great wine tasting rooms. We highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in a taste of the Santa Barbara wine country.

Highly recommend this tour!! If you enjoy biking and wine then this tour is for you! Or even if you only want to bike part of the tour then the van is available in full support. William is super knowledgeable which is a big part of the reason this tour is so great. Of all the wine tours I've done in CA this was the best...better than Napa and Paso. You get to see a lot of the Santa Barbara wine region in one day and then taste some great wine at the end. Also the lunch provided is very good! My dad was visiting from the east coast and is still raving about how much fun he had on this tour. 10/10

My husband and I (late 50s, casual cyclists from New York State) enjoyed a beautiful February 14 ride with William, owner of I Bike Santa Barbara Wine Tours. The points of interest will be familiar to any fans of Alexander Payne’s great film “Sideways.” William provides everything you need: bikes, water bottles, power bars, helmets, encouragement. We signed up for the mid-level “Wine Lovers’ Ride” but then extended it a bit to the full 15-mile “Classic” because it was so enjoyable gliding by the vineyards and ranches with bison, alpacas, and horses (not to mention the cute Danish

Amazing experience - I would say this was one of the most productive day trips I've had to SB!
SERVICE: William and his wife's attention to detail was stunning. From the quality of the bikes to the customized water bottles and timely pick up, the bike tour experience was top notch.
Your day starts off with a pick up from William at a preset location, so it's a great opportunity to do a car-free trip to SB. We opted for "The Jaunt" - which is a 9 mile bike tour followed by an hour of free time in Solvang. Thankfully wine tasting is last, or else I don't think I could have finished the ride!
