I was a fall down blackout drunk. No self-esteem, no self-respect. I felt that the world passed me by and that I was unworthy of life because I was such an alcoholic. The way I drank and the way I pushed people away was shattering, it shattered my soul and after alcoholism treatment here at Ventura Recovery Center I got my soul back.
At Ventura Recovery Center, we specialize in treating heroin addiction by providing individualized drug rehab treatment plans for those addicted to heroin. Heroin abusers are usually in a dark mental state and don't know where to turn, but this is where we can help. By understanding how addiction works, we are able to offer guidance, counseling and successful treatment for the underlying issue and the addiction itself.
Methamphetamine is one of the most addictive drugs available. Many report being "hooked" after only one use. It uses up the body's energy while invading it with the extremely toxic chemicals. Quite quickly, meth use can have devastating effects on your health. Prolonged use can actually affect the physiology of the brain and the behavior of the individual.
Do you experience paranoia, hallucinations, delusions or seizures since you started using cocaine? Next to methamphetamine, cocaine is the most addictive drug available. It effects the brain by releasing extra dopamine and restricting it's absorption. These changes over time can actually affect the physiology of the brain and the behavior of the individual.
The important thing to remember is you don't need to feel ashamed. Stress, cultural or family dynamics and other environmental factors can lead to prescription pill addiction. 2.1 million people are addicted to opiates in the US and that number is increasing at an alarming rate. Stress is the common thread that links people with addiction disorder.

Ventura Recovery Center is a game-changer. After years of trying to "pull it together" myself, and failing, I was urged to seek treatment. I'm so glad I did. I have learned, and continue to learn how to live my life as a sober man. I can't think of a negative thing to say about VRC. The staff is exceptional. It's a professional, friendly and safe environment. The program is AA, and it truly does work. Thank you VRC for your guidance and support.

I started my journey on July 8th 2018 and I finally move back home today (May 3rd 2019). In my 8 months I have completely changed into a new man and no longer crave alcohol and drugs. The staff has been super friendly and super respectful and most of all shown me how to have fun in sobriety. I would reccommend this place to anyone with any kind of problem. Stick through till you are in sober living and don’t just do a 30 day program and your life will change for the better!

I don't even know where to start. The experience I had at Ventura Recovery Center was unlike any other. The admitting process went smoothly, the setting itself is extremely cozy and comfortable, and most importantly, the staff here is beyond incredible. Each and every one of them genuinely care about your recovery and well being, and truly do become family. The daily group sessions are so beneficial, they keep you on your toes, and you can't help but want to get involved due to how fascinating and enlightening they make them. This experience is one that I will absolutely never forget, and has changed

Vrc provided the tools necessary to build a foundation. Being able to stay long term was very beneficial for me. My therapist, Randi H, was amazing and there for me at any hour, she truly loves her job and helping others. She was the highlight of my stay. The owners are personable and involved. The techs and Baxter and Chris Ryan were so encouraging to me and positive. Robert continuously checked on me after my relapse and that meant a lot. Ashley is trustworthy, relatable, and easy to talk to, and I’m so grateful to have gone through the steps with her.

My daughter arrived at VRC after a massive overdose. She was afraid she was going to die from her addiction and a friend had told her about VRC and how it had helped him stay sober for over two years. During the year she was at VRC she worked the 12 steps of AA, got a sponsor, learned how to work at a job and manage her money (to a certain extent!). She made amends to her family. She got individual therapy, group therapy, a safe place to live. Eventually, at the end of a year she actually sponsored a new person.
She has been at three or four treatment centers, several sober living houses and still

I've struggled with drugs and alcohol throughout my life. I had attempted sobriety many times on my own following time frames in jail or court ordered classes. It lasted for bit but I always fell back into the disease of addiction. I had hit my lowest of lows and knew that I needed help. I had never been to a recovery center or even thought a recovery center was an option for me. My family began looking for treatment options and found many choices. When calling other places, my family received call after call trying to sell their treatment programs to us like a product. I spoke with Robert at VRC

VRC is by far the most efficient rehab/sober living where I actually found recovery. I have done this so many times, but there is something special about this place. This place cares about the people in the program, and if you really do the simple things they ask, you to can find the happiness I have found here.

This rehab is amazing, a very comfortable detox when i first came in then a smooth transition to sober living where i was able to have the freedoms to find myself and start my life again. I was able to get a job when the time was appropriate for me and my needs. Being here has showed me that living sober can actually be enjoyable. The staff have been in our same position so they can relate and be supportive when you might be in crisis. As with any rehab if you arent ready to quit then youll find anything negative to say. This place saved my life and my brother's life. It truly is a great place
